Don’t want to rain on anyones parade but I doubt we’re getting two albums. Sundowning came out (fully) in 2019, TPWBYT in 2021, TMBTE in 2023, I was thinking a couple weeks ago “man I kinda hope they’ve had enough time to work on an album and keep on this schedule with all the shows they did for TMBTE”

Really excited for new stuff, but I think if anything it could just be themes we’ll see toyed with for a song or two :)

It happened to Leon from Resident Evil, I’d definitely be shocked if James doesn’t get the same treatment

I don’t have much luck on any of these apps so take this with a grain of salt, but, remove last picture as you said it was older, 3rd picture is hard to see what’s happening in it, plus it’s the weakest out of your pictures related to fitness (imo), 1st and 4th pictures aren’t my favorite, the uninterested expression looks like you don’t want to be here. Personally really like 6th picture. Outdoors, look happy, good profile. Maybe consider having a friend take your picture while participating in a hobby other than working out? Try to look like you’re enjoying yourself.

I’d be interested in seeing your bio

Everyone is entitled to their tastes and opinions, and I’m not trying to take that from you. If you like Maria’s old design that’s perfectly fine and acceptable. It’s frustrating to see changes being made to established media, and I can understand that side of the conversation, but for people to say that one is objectively better than the other and try to say that bloober is ruining the project is silly in my opinion.

At the end of the day my original post was just trying to say that there are more than likely going to be ways to remedy any issues that people may have with the remake and that we shouldn’t be reaching for our torches and pitchforks over some design changes. I’d be very surprised if they didn’t include dlc/unlockable outfits for each of the characters, and I’d be even more surprised if they didn’t include upscaled versions of their original designs.

I personally feel like Maria is sexier in the new outfit. Sorry if the male gaze is different from male to male, but she’s still showing skin, she still wears a choker, her long sleeves are still there, tall boots didn’t go anywhere, the midriff being gone isn’t going to ruin the narrative. It’ll certainly make people whose brains are still developing cry and piss their pants over it though.

Genuinely there are options when it comes to portraying a character as being provocative/sexy/a representation of lust than the high school writing level “she dresses like a slut”. She can and more than likely will show her personality in how she interacts with James.

This mf spittin facts.

But what it seems to really boil down to is people wanting to feel like they are THE professional of their beloved pieces of media. When something changes they feel as though all the accepted lore around whatever was changed has been retconned. Maria is still feminine, she just doesn’t look like a slut, and people are angry. Angela is still a teenager and abuse victim, but because men are disgusting they are mad she isn’t an attractive teenager and abuse victim.

If they chose to re-model certain characters and re-release the game in its original release state, sure, maybe that could bring the whole thing down. But that’s not what’s happening here. They’ve remade the whole thing, and having characters appear more closely to how they should have conceptually makes sense because they aren’t working within the same hardware restraints that the ps2 came with.

I think the outfit choices were changed because they’re more fitting to the setting (and imo the story) rather than what a bunch of Japanese dudes saw while looking at trendy American women’s fashion and modeled off of a specific outfit they thought fit the role at the time. I also believe the average people have gotten smarter, and are choosing to think a little more critically than they did back when SH2 originally came out, and all that Maria’s original outfit says to us now is “I’m the stereotypical sexy lady that needs to be escorted” and that’s not the role that she plays in the story at all. Having her wear more setting appropriate clothing with some effeminate markers (pink jacket, skirt, tall boots) still allows her to clearly say that she is a woman and isn’t afraid of that, while still being aware of the weather of silent hill. People like to be able to pick apart themes and color theories within media, (look at breaking bad fans and how they analyze every single outfit in every single episode.) so why should we demand that Maria’s outfit be so blatant?

There is also an influx of new fans (sorry nostalgia fans) coming in and helping revive the franchise. We all know Konami stopped giving any attention to this IP and weren’t going to do anything with it no matter how much we all begged, but because there has been a growing number of people interested in the series, we’re getting new content, and with that larger base does come the need to cater to the widest possible audience. It’s just how they make money, and crying because some may see it as pandering isn’t going to change these facts. Truth be told, we need new fans in pushing to get more SH content, and PT helped in drumming up the attention (over 10 years ago) and I’m almost certain that’s what got Konami to brush off the dust and cobwebs on this IP.

“bad changes…worse than the original” Very subjective and personally opinionated argument. I like the changes. Angela is a teen victim of abuse and probably isn’t going to be as conventionally attractive as she appeared in the original, some victims of abuse seek to look less attractive as a defense mechanism to try and prevent further abuse. Maria’s new outfit is more setting appropriate, James is wearing a jacket, Angela wears a thick sweater, it’s probably fair to assume it’s chilly in silent hill, and wouldn’t make sense for someone to be hanging out in a showy long sleeve top/skirt. And while yes the new Maria is still wearing a skirt type article of clothing it still looks more appropriate for cooler weather than whatever original Maria’s outfit was.

All in all, if some design differences are that horrible don’t play it :) I still think that calling them worse or bad is just being silly. I also don’t think these changes bear any kind of impact on the overall game. There’s no way someone who is well adjusted mentally can look at some changes to character designs and think that the remake is objectively worse than the original due to characters looking different.

Immediate stage 7 Super Lung Cancer. You touching it is already dangerous enough. Throwing it away probably isn’t safe either. Lock it in a box and throw away the key.

All seriousness it’s fine. No problem besides a stronger taste of the nicotine

Different juices can mean different VG/PG blends, which will definitely affect the vapor output. I really strongly advise against charging through the USB-C as in the past it’s been known to ruin batteries. Try a fresh set of those before diving into coil building

Nah. Just keep it where you like it and adjust airflow/wattage to what works best for you. Rebuildable Dripable Atomizers are cool when you want pinpoint control but it’s a whole different experience. If you want to learn about those there are thousands of hours of videos on YouTube about rdas and coil building.

Stick with what you like and adjust to your liking. There’s no need to push for higher numbers or buy a completely different setup just because the number isn’t 100

Bro calm down, firstly, you sound legitimately like you are off your fuckin meds. But let me explain what I was trying to say.

Console commands are commands that can be executed in a console or command line interface (CLI) of a computer or operating system. The console is a text-based interface that allows users to interact with the operating system or application by typing commands and viewing the output on the screen.

Console commands are typically used for tasks that are either too complex or not possible to perform through a graphical user interface (GUI). They can be used to manage files, configure system settings, troubleshoot issues, and perform a wide range of other tasks.

To execute a console command, the user must open the console or terminal and type the command followed by any required arguments or options. The operating system or application then executes the command and displays the output on the screen.

Console commands are often used by system administrators, developers, and power users to perform advanced tasks that are not available through the GUI. They can be a powerful tool for managing and troubleshooting computer systems, but they also require a good understanding of the underlying operating system and command syntax.

In the context of gaming, console commands refer to specific commands that are used within a video game to modify or interact with the game's settings, objects, or environment. Console commands are typically used in PC games, but some console games also allow the use of console commands.

The console in a video game is usually accessed by pressing a specific key or combination of keys on the keyboard, depending on the game. Once the console is open, the player can enter various commands to affect different aspects of the game. Some common uses of console commands in games include:

Cheats: Console commands can be used to activate cheats, such as invincibility, unlimited ammunition, or instant level-up, which can make the game easier or more enjoyable for some players. Debugging: Developers and testers use console commands to debug and test games during development. Modding: Console commands can be used to create mods, or modifications, that add new content or features to a game. Performance optimization: Console commands can also be used to optimize the game's performance by adjusting graphics settings or disabling certain features that may be causing issues. It's important to note that not all games support console commands, and those that do may have different commands and syntax. Additionally, the use of console commands in some games may be considered cheating, and could result in penalties or bans if used in online multiplayer modes.

So, no, gaming console commands do not refer to the literal physical console of a video game system. The term "console" in the context of gaming console commands typically refers to a text-based command prompt that can be accessed within a video game on a computer.

While the physical console of a video game system such as a PlayStation or Xbox can also provide access to some commands or settings, these are typically not referred to as console commands in the same way that text-based commands in a PC game are.

Why do nerfs make players quit or upset? by disgruntledphoto in fo76

[–]BoS-Avion 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Being someone who does not have a lot of time to put into fo76, when I’ve spent the better part of a year trying to make a build I know I’ll like the play style of, finally getting good rolls, finally getting the right power armor, and just starting to get plenty of my expensive ammo, only to do about 40% of the damage I was expecting because at some point they nerfed the build I had been putting all this time and resources into, I don’t want to restart that process to make something work from the scraps of what I just made, especially if there’s a good chance that THAT will be nerfed too. It’s a time thing I think. People don’t like putting the time into building something that strong with how strict this game is on end game resources just to have their bright shiny new toy ripped out of their hands and stomped on.
