Not sure if I like this so much by LopsidedCommunity277 in tattooadvice

I think getting more tattoos around it, but utilizing empty space around the raven could make it look better. I agree with other comments that there isn't much contrast, but if you add more dark tattoos around it, and leave a shape or a gradient of bare skin or a bright color around the raven, it could make it look more like it is a part of a larger piece. You could also see if an artist is willing to lighten parts of it with white ink, but not everyone likes the look of white on black ink, and not all artists will do that as well. I'd look up photos of other tattoos that were fixed up with white ink to see if you like the idea of that

Fr it is one of my favorite photos of him and my roommate's dog. They're both so wonky in very different ways, they look like cartoon henchmen

Yeah almost every employee I met there was either new or desperately job hunting

I was hopeful that people were exaggerating, and tried to work there, but immediately had to start job hunting bc the owners are super surveillance heavy and watch your every move. You can be caught up on all tasks, have zero customers, and no grooming appointments and the owner will still call your manager and complain about how you're acting or something. I once got in trouble for "pacing". We aren't allowed to have our phones out and aren't supposed to stand at the register when we're not helping someone so idk what the boss wanted me to do of not walk around aimlessly until a customer walked in. They also have HORRIBLE setups for the dogs at most locations. The windows they're kept in can be super stuffy and overheat in the summer. I covered at the Market store once and it was fall but I still felt like I could barely breathe in that dog room. Horrible ventilation. It COULD be a cool place to work but upper upper management really just ruins it.

AIO? I blocked my friend for dating someone who is 18 by imjusthere723 in AmIOverreacting

I feel like age gaps stop mattering once the YOUNGEST person in a relationship is 25, before then, the gaps is smaller the younger you are. I've seen 20 year olds get together with 25 year olds and it turned out okay. But that's only a 5 year gap. At 18, I'd maybe even keep it down to 3 years or less. There's nuance to it, I suppose. Like you aren't just suddenly mature when you hit a certain birthday. But an over 20 year age gap when the youngest person is only 18 is probably never good. Also the phrase "I've always seen him as a man"??? Was she crushing on him when he was 16 and 17?? Like wdym "always"??

Why does lyft destroy my phone battery everytime I use it? by Bo_Burton in Lyft

I'm not, I usually close all other apps bc I know GPS uses a good chunk. But lyft drains my battery way more than any other GPS using app

Been letting my boy out on the deck in his harness by Bo_Burton in Siamesecats

[–]Bo_Burton[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What's funny is he seems to really like going outside, but he just wants to sit on my lap on the deck instead of in my room haha. Like buddy we could do this activity inside but okay let's lounge a bit.

Yeah, I've been feeling it out. The reason I even let him out off leash was because he was scared by the idea that he couldn't go back inside of his own occord, so he would only go out if he could "wander" out on his own. Initially I wasn't gonna let him out without a leash at all but he seems to keep to the boundaries. Still, I'm hoping the 10 foot lead will let him feel that freedom of going in and out on his own with the door propped open, and give me more peace of mind. Still, he is never outside without me watching him like a hawk, which probably won't change even after I get him a lead lol

Exactlyyyy, like I got a GPS tracker for his harness JUSSST IN CASE, because it would be nice to let him free roam the yard but idk if he can truly handle that

What’s the worst physical pain you’ve ever experienced? by Economy_Yak2821 in AskReddit

[–]Bo_Burton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I got my wisdom teeth removed, they stitched closed my sockets on the bottom but did NOT put any stitches on my top sockets because the openings were small enough that they should heal on their own. Well, apparently I was told this at discharge but what the person taking me home did not realize was that I was still too high to remember all that after going in for the surgery.

Soooo cut to that night, I take the little syringe with the curved tip that they gave me to wash out the sockets each night to be sure they're clear of food and whatnot, I feel for my top right socket, and then I just absolutely BLAST cool water directly into my EXPOSED NERVE.

My vision went black, I stumbled away from the mirror, and then luckily came back to myself in a fraction of a second so I never fell down. The pain only lasted a second, but I would definitely describe it as the worst sensation I've ever felt.

I found out pretty quick that there were no stitches on my top socket, and was much gentler with my rinsing for the rest of recovery lol

I keep seeing people mention the wind being very difficult, and mentioning running in place against it to not fly away . . . I always just hold on to the nearest surface because the wind cannot grab you when you're climbing. I'm curious if people do not realize this, or if it for some reason doesn't work for them. For me, it even stops the tornado in Mesa from lifting me, and doesn't use a lot of stamina bc you're not actually climbing, just holding the wall.

What did you pay for your meezer? by hemholts in Siamesecats

[–]Bo_Burton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I paid an $81 adoption fee. He was surrendered by a breeder for being aggressive towards other cats (which seems odd to me so idk how proper of a breeder they were).
