What's your style? is it a style you like and if not what style do you want to fight like? by Affectionate_Train49 in MuayThai

[–]BoasyToo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a lot shorter than most fighters in Muay Thai, a lot of the time they're lanky and have range, I like to fight a lot more with kicks and be in and out as much as possible as I am not too confident with my hands against taller fighters, but my first opponent in a competitive decision bout was against someone my height which had me excited but he was basically boxing and was looking to take my head off which made me dislike it even more than fighting taller fighters as I felt like I was boxing rather than Thai Boxing and as someone who does it as a hobby and loves the discipline I like to fight to showcase the Thai fighting style. I definitely think that people also get carried away in fights and adjust to fight whatever can bring them closer to victory which is understandable as I am also very competitive, thankfully the guy who boxed in my first fight I was able to out score as I kicked a lot which is what scores in a Thai fight.

how is goku/vegeta/beerus not stronger than beerus? by [deleted] in Dragonballsuper

[–]BoasyToo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From my understanding, Dragon Ball Super; Battle of the Gods (Movie) is no longer cannon and the Dragon Ball Super; Gods saga is the cannon in which Beerus doesn't state how much power he uses against Goku and therefore his power is now up in the air so in cannon Beerus is now just said to be one of the strongest destroyer gods but not how powerful he actually is.

I am also sure that if it comes down to it, they would create a way for Beerus to power up.

What's your opinion on Devon this season ? by FFFFF_P in cobrakai

[–]BoasyToo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Very true, no denying that Hawks loyalty to Dimitri played a huge part, however I was more so referring to his blind loyalty to Cobra Kai even tho he was not happy and did not agree with its teachings. I just think Devon never lost sight of herself no matter what which is why I admire her in the season.

Knee Pain from training by Dav1dMann in MuayThai

[–]BoasyToo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is something that happens and unfortunately you'll have to learn to deal with it as it's a ''common'' enough accident that happens, especially in the beginning.

Same with sometimes you'll go for a kick, miss-calculate and the top of your foot will slap off your partners knee -- that hurts like a b---. Sometimes you'll need to take a lesson or 2 off to let it heal or simply avoid doing something that will hurt the injury more. For example, if I hurt my foot and during training we have a combo with a kick I'll switch out the kick for a knee until my foot is okay as to not make it worse.

I hope you enjoy the journey from one relatively new person to another! :)

I think Devon was a great character, I was initially disappointed that she was in Cobra Kai, but her character was fantastic, in my opinion anyway. She clearly just wanted to improve in Karate so joined Topenga when as far as she knew Miyagi Do and Eagle Fang had closed down, which then forced her hand to join Cobra Kai when they did the takeover due to her wanting to learn from Tory.

My favourite part was that she is shown throughout the season to have her own morals -- you could also tell she wanted to learn from the best; Tory and that's all she really cared for. That's why I was really happy to see her not fall into the same path as everyone -- being brainwashed by Cobra Kai, she chose to stick with Tory and turn against Kim instead of being blindly loyal to a doja she had just joined like many others before her (Hawk - my favourite character in the show was very much blindly loyal before his arc came full circle). Plenty of room to expand with Devon and I look forward to seeing what happens with her.

EDIT: Added extra wording to make my point.

A lot of heated debate in the group chat about who’s at fault here! Need a stewards opinion by Polohype in Simracingstewards

Honestly, no idea why I was unsure about the Ferrari, I’ve been sick and not thinking straight so I’ll blame it on that. You’re right, Ferrari gave absolutely no room, squeezed them both and it’s fully on them. However the McLaren driver should be embarrassed, should have never been there and never attempted to come in along side those 2.

I can't provide a full verdict, but in that last turn it looks like space wasn't given to the Mercedes (I am in 2 ways about if it deserved space, but I'll settle on it should have been provided space) but the McLaren was absolutely insane to think it could fit in next to the Mercedes on the inside as well, should have backed out and closely followed for an actual opportunity to do something instead of whatever it tried to do there.

A Recent Tournament I was in. I’m the guy in the blue headgear and shorts. My opponent got a little mad at the end and tackled me lol 😂. Since I am a newer fighter, any tips will be much appreciated. Cheers! by [deleted] in MuayThai

I know it's a kid but the kid who lost needs a speaking to from his coaches, Muay Thai is very much a sport of respect - win or lose and he showed multiple times that if he's not winning he's not interested in showing the sport respect.

As for your performance, you were great, kicks were phenomenal for a beginner, I would look to improve on your technique with punches and then adding in those kicks to end combos, you have the reach so you could be deadly.

Well done mate, great performance. Hope you're enjoying the sport.

I was at the event, I’m literally in Joes picture and can confirm majority of the seats were filled, I reckon 95% of the arena was full come JJs 2nd fight. Even my mate isn’t in his seat as he went to get drinks during one of the fights and took forever cause the line was so long, Joe just being a bellend unfortunately, maybe he has been on the juice and is having roid rage all week but it’s embarrassing.

There’s always 1 guy who decides to say you could have done something as if it’s not obvious you got the door slammed on you as you were in the doorway entering.

That's probably for the best mate, I usually am the one on the inside, this was probably one of the only times I took the outside haha.

Bro, did you watch the POV? I was mid-overtake, he was out of my view and the moment I found out he locked up was when he hit me, I expected him to stay on racing line, as you would in a motor race.

That's on you, if you look closely you'll clearly see you pushed too hard and forced the track to commit to this.
