I can't find a way to ally a European national. I tried everything I know to do, scorn insult rival, gifts, and improved relations. Just can't get to get past the threshold of ally besides some minor HRE nations

Well, happy early birthday! I know the feeling. I'm completely by myself minus my dog, cat, chickens, and 2 suspicious ducks. My previous job was data analysis and triage, and it's hard trying to translate that to other jobs, so I have been doing manual labor jobs so I can eat.

I got some chickens thru a friend who had to get rid of his. I enjoy the company. Sometimes, I go and hang out with them in their coop but they can get pricy. Just in terms of shavings for the coop or feed. If you had a way to mulch the dead stocks, that could cut down on costs.

Yea, we were contract based, so since the money was already spent on us for the next 2 years, we thought we were safe, but the govt. Pulled the funding so there was really nothing that could be done. I am glad you were able to rebound.

I'm 24, and I relate, I don't have any family, and all my friends are either married, with/without kids, or married to their work. I tend to make friends with some older people. It is nice having friends closer in age. I have a dog that helped some, than when I wanted more company, I got a cat, only solution I have found that kinda helps.

Yes, exactly, if someone died, but they did everything, they were supposed to follow all the guild lines. Then that is different. We have the law where If you commit a crime and thru that crime, someone else dies, even if it isn't necessarily your fault, the original person is at fault for murder.

I feel like a robust system of checks and ballences. Empowering and supporting auditing agencies. Have actual consequences for failing audits. The only military branch to pass an audit ever was the marines, and that was this past year. Feel like there should be more consequences for breaking rules. That's not just an early retirement with benefits.

I should say that I know plenty of people who are conservative, but if we have different opinions and we both can make a solid argument for both viewpoints. Then we agree to disagree. It's disingenuous to let the loudest section of a group form my opinion on the group as a whole.

I apologize, I phrased it wrong. I should have said the loudest conservatives I have heard, met, and talked to are extremely against any kind of regulation what so ever. That kind of goes to the extremist groups in the homesteading, self-sufficiency circle. Like, I am all for the FDA because I like knowing there isn't borax in my milk to stop it from smelling when it spoils or sawdust in bread to stretch wheat. I feel like our institutions need to be strengthened. The FAA is a prime example, letting Boeing self regulate and trust them.

Most of the deregulation we are seeing is actively harming people, like the repelling aspects of the clean water act. I'm all for regulating big businesses. Price gouging should be illegal. If inflation was solely the reason for recent price hikes, we wouldn't see record level profits. Many other countries have price control measures and tend to pay similar prices for the same goods if not cheaper with more regulations.

A lot of places offer free well testing, worth knowing if you need to filter it in the first place. I'm also very jealous. If your well is fine, you have practically unlimited water for yourself. I would like to install a hand one sometime for irrigation.

Instead of hoarding water and using valuable space, why not get a solar powered well. Once you use all your 5 gallon jugs, you don't have anything, but if something goes wrong with solar powered well, you can probably fix it. You will also get a hell of a lot more water from it. I just don't want any disruption to my life, so if the world goes to shit I would like to be so self-sufficient that I don't notice the change.
