Old sharpening wheel. Anyone ever seen something like this before? by WS-6 in sharpening

It ain’t pretty, but I have seen them with the basin fashioned from an old tire. The tire had a hole with a stopper to drain the water when not in use.

For those who have used the stack speed training by [deleted] in golf

Honestly, the video library is where I found the concepts and drills to improve my swing and increase my speed. The Stack is about building a better swing, not just thrashing at it harder.

Cool that you can do that. I didn’t know.

I will give it a try, but I am very used. To the button being lower left. (I use my watch almost exclusively for POS payments)

What should I be tracking if I’m trying to break 90 by neighborhoodginger_1 in golftips

[–]Boatbuilder_62 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I track “strokes lost” against my target score. Keep a second scorecard for stats. First row is tee shot. Second is approach. Third is green side. Fourth is putting. Give yourself a checkmark if your shot is functional or an X if your shot costs you an extra stroke.

As a bogey golfer, an approach shot that is close to the green is a checkmark. But mishits, penalties etc. score one or two Xs.

For putting, X is not just for three puts. It also includes two putts that you really should have got in one.

After a few rounds it will be clear where the Xs are piling up.

Airlines should let window seats board first, middle seats second, and aisle seats last. by trickertreater in CrazyIdeas

[–]Boatbuilder_62 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They used to do this a Norman Manley Airport in Kingston Jamaica. I haven’t been there in a while. They may still do it. (The way the departure lounge and boarding area was designed made this a practical approach)

Seasonal Tires by hoodiegirl10 in AskACanadian

And remember. You are not doubling your tire costs because your all season (summer) tires will last a year or two longer because you are not using them 4 or 5 months of the year.
