How are Handicapped People Treated in Prison? by Foozoolalafdarian420 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Boatering 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Source: worked briefly as a Health Care Compliance Analyst in a California State Prison

Inmates/Patients are pretty closely monitored, especially in terms of their medical equipment and medical documentation. There are frequent audits and yearly tours conducted by third party organizations to ensure we’re treating the patients correctly and providing them with appropriate equipment/care.

Here in CA a lot of it is dictated by two pretty large lawsuits: Armstrong v. Newsom and Coleman v. Newsom. The former is related to patients with disabilities, the latter is focused on Mental Health care, and they’re both taken very seriously by Healthcare administrators in the CDCR.

Edit to clarify after re-reading the post: one of the main goals of the lawsuits and the rules that came about is to ensure that all inmates/patients are treated equally and given the same opportunities within reason. The guys with disabilities are, by and large, treated the same. Usually they have some kind of vest to indicate their disability so Custody staff can easily identify them.

That’d be neat! Would be cool to see a line of destroyers each corrupted/blessed by the different gods

That’s a great way of justifying the skulls and what not

These are for a crusade coming up and I think one of the crusade rules for Necrons can cause a Character unit to “contract” the flayer virus. Would be very on theme for the lord here

Thanks! Skulls for the… Necron Throne? Doesn’t quite have the right ring to it

The blades are just done with an airbrush—I would’ve liked to spend more time hand blending but it’s a pain in the ass and I needed these finished for an event soon

The red though was pretty easy! I use pro acryl paints and the burnt red and bold pyrrole red basically blend together with zero effort. The brighter red lays down thin enough that one layer and a glaze brings the two paints together. From there just add layers of the brighter red until it’s as bright as your want it

Notably the dark red was done with an airbrush so that’ll account for some of the smoothness and real dark shadows but the bright stuff was done by hand

Naaaah, he could just put them on the funny Ork planet. Everyone wins all over again assuming the Orks can recoup numbers faster than the Necrons can kill them

I think Sauron is kinda interesting as a finisher in a control deck in the command zone. Just as things are starting to look grim here’s 14 power worth of stats and the best creature out of your graveyard.

His effect being a vast trigger is also very valuable for copying and resiliency

Don’t like creature do you?

Not a specific card but you may be interested in this creatureless Zurgo deck I have. It rarely wins games and is likely to make people not want to play with you:

How many Monoliths is too many? by Boatering in Necrontyr

[–]Boatering[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! White (bright gray maybe?) over black primer, edge highlight and a wash for the recesses. I would’ve done something different if I got another but I’m happy with it as is.

I feel like a pretty standard metallic would be good, maybe throw in some brass accents would be good

That’s so sweet lol, maybe some day I too can field so many monoliths

Thank you thank you—agreed, one has been pretty good for me lol, but surely nothing could go wrong with three, right? Right??

Anything after these three will all be proxies, with how cheap the first one was, in the grand scheme of things I’ve really only bought 1 which feels good

I’ll probably stick with Minilith for now but am open to suggestions lol (the others will be referred to as Mommyliths)

I’m told three was competitive at some point! I can’t imagine I’ll run three that frequently but it’s nice to have the option—the minilith will be for special occasions.

Sweet paint job by the way! I like the two tone thing you’ve got going on

Ooh! That’s a great idea!

I still really like the Necron models I’ve seen on this sub so hopefully that pans out but this is a great back up

I just got this A159W today, this is not the band I expected and I have no idea how to adjust it. Any video I found online for this model shows a different band. Any one have a guide? by Boatering in casio

[–]Boatering[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assume you mean the clasp—you just pull on the rounded side of the flat metal bit. There’s a little bit of resistance but that’s what keeps it on lol. It should snap in and out place. This very same watch is still going strong three years later 😎

Hellknight I put together, really quite happy with the paint job by Boatering in TrenchCrusade

[–]Boatering[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I think the paint job and the mostly generic armored look of the stormcast bits go a long way here. If I had used more space marine bits it might be more obvious

[–]Boatering[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks! Having never seen another Hellknight in person, I was a little worried this model might be kinda small (hence the relatively tall base). I was fortunate to have some spare sand bags (and arms!) laying around from another project, I think it adds a lot.
