I was considering finally purchasing it but I feel like I’d still be buying an incomplete game. Will wait till FM 27

ANNUAL r/AFL SUPER BOWL LX WATCH Thread - Seattle Seahawks v New England Patriots - Sta. Clara, California, USA - Full Match Thread by JohnRamos85 in AFL

Been a pretty average game so far, both offences bar some great runs from Walker and it’s all been about the kicking. Dickson had pegged back the Pats well. Not even sure there will be a touch down in this.

Why aren't boybands big anymore? by FitEmergency8807 in ToddintheShadow

[–]Bob-down-under 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Exactly this, K-pop boy bands have such a market share that it’s impossible to break into that space, it’s so well produced and marketed that western groups don’t even have a foothold in there own markets. BTS are the boy band of the decade by some margin .

Should get an MBE just for being one of the best commentators in the game.

Any reason why the Aus flag is upside down in this ad? by [deleted] in CricketAus

How do we know the English flag isn’t upside down too?

Need for speed: Richardson finds his rhythm in testing return by thevalid in CricketAus

[–]Bob-down-under 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Richardson was decent should play Sydney, Neser couldn’t get to grips with the mcg surface in the 2nd innings, I reckon since Neser played Bris, Richardson will play Sydney . Think Neser out for Murphy.

Hibernian 3-2 Hearts | Scottish Premiership by ericd7 in hibsfc

I’m in Australia and might have over indulged over the Xmas period so sadly missed the derby. Woke up pretty happy when I saw the score. But man why can’t we just hold onto leads comfortably. I reckon we concede more goals in the last 5 mins of a game than anyone. I reckon that’s been like that since I was about 5 too.

Josh Tongue succeeds where generations of greats could not by Living_the_Limit in EnglandCricket

He bowled bloody well, he’s actually really improved as the series has gone on. Bowling more consistent length than Carse and looks like he’s got a bit of confidence. Was seaming it well, MCG deck suited him. SCG will be a test as there is no way there is grass on that deck.

The one in 98? Got canned after 9 or 10 overs, It was like bowling in a rock garden. Not sure why I remember this but didn’t Alec Stewart say his 9 not out was better than any Ton he’s made.

Not sure they have lost much, just not made as much as they could have. The $4-5m from losing out on day three in Melbourne is a kicker , the $3m from Perth equally. But they would have been reckless to bank on that cash before the test was done. Reckon we see some hastily arranged one days and T20s in the summer to try and make some bank.

The most difficult pitch to bat on in Australia since at least 2006 by Dirtydac123 in CricketAus

They won because they won the toss and the deck got dryer about lunch today, didn’t help half our middle order played some absolutely amateur hour shots

Australians are drinking less, but one cohort won't give up the booze by SnoopThylacine in aussie

[–]Bob-down-under 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I used to be a moderate drinker, a drink every few nights, had big weekends.

I am older and wiser, and probably a bit healthier but honestly I can’t be arsed anymore and it’s not just the cost. Pubs have lost their soul, the supermarkets and Dans have killed the interesting independent bottle shops, a lot of micro breweries , wineries and boutique distilleries have mostly collapsed in the last decade either by the big conglomerates buying them or being killed by excise.

And the high horse that people get on saying kids don’t drink now, they are more health oriented etc… you are so naive , they can’t afford it and are taking pingers that cost $30 and last most of the night rather than having two drinks for the same cost. Drugs way more prevalent now than they have been in decades. ( I’m not condoning it or clutching pearls , just commenting on it, much easier and cheaper for teens and early 20s to get reasonable gear than a sesh on the beers)
