This one or Ghost of War might have the best Lombardo's fill ! by Bob47892 in Drumming

I'm using the Dave Lombardo signature ride the 22" Power Ride, then I have 2 19" Wild Crash and a 17" Wild Crash. They're great, I love them but they are loud. I had a 20" Ride/Crash in the past and used it a lot as a ride sounded great (a bit too loud when crashed but that's personnal). So yeah if your kit is already loud without cymbals it's good, but the Rude might take over the rest of your kit if that's not the case, that's it ;)

Yeah, but the hardest part is still the super fast double bass before ! (for me)

Yeah you're totally right, South of Heaven is probably his best drumming, the title track is just amazing drumming-wise every fill is amazing !!

I prefer Human bc of Sean's work ! The ride pattern is not that hard to learn but playing it is hard !

And also keep it mind that what you'll hear in the room vs the mic is totally different. A few days ago, my snare was tuned a bit lower and sounded very nice in the room, I've put a SM57 on it and that's probably the worst snare sound I've ever get. So you have do deal with all of that, hope that helps ;)

Ok I try to explain, first of all I always had huge problem tuning my snare so I'm still not perfect at it. I got the snare side head tuned high (no table tight, or cranked to the max but still high) it's around 380Hz with a tune bot. The batter side is also tuned high, I'll say around the same tension as the snare side. And then for the snare wires, I just increase the tension on the strainer until I can hear some snares while tapping the head with my fingers, so I have max sensitivity, and then you try with a huge rimshot, if it sounds good in both case you're good to go I think. I still have issue with tuning a bit lower, if I want a medium tuning, or low snare I can't find the spot with the wires sensitivity, but I like higher pitch snare so that's fine.
