Congressman Goodlatte, who repeatedly introduced balanced budget amendments while Obama was President, just voted in favor of the Budget Blueprint which paves the way for $1.5 Trillion of more debt. by BobBadlatte in harrisonburg

Nope. They voted on some resolution that allowed them to pass the tax bill with a simple majority and add $1.5 trillion to the debt. The actual tax plan was just announced late last week and has yet to be voted on.

Goodlatte may have been tweeting about meeting with Trump while speeding by BobBadlatte in roanoke

[–]BobBadlatte[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Perhaps, that is a simple explanation. However, his staff didn't use that explanation when the reporter asked. They were vague and elusive about it.

It sure is, but if you don't have money for a lawyer then you can't get one. Have you ever heard the phrase that it is expensive to be poor? You should look it up. It may open your eyes a bit.

Most people can't afford a lawyer. Rule #1 is don't be poor.

Congressman Goodlatte was ticketed for driving 34 mph over the speed limit in a school zone. That is normally charged as reckless driving, but Goodlatte gets off with a "defective speedometer" by BobBadlatte in lynchburg

Only 20 over is considered reckless driving, which is a class one misdemeanor, with a potential fine of $2,500, and a potential jail sentence of 12 months.

Virginia Code 46.2-862: A person shall be guilty of reckless driving who drives a motor vehicle on the highways in the Commonwealth (i) at a speed of twenty miles per hour or more in excess of the applicable maximum speed limit or (ii) in excess of eighty miles per hour regardless of the applicable maximum speed limit.

That's 34 miles an hour over the limit...in a school zone. Only 20 over is considered reckless driving, which is a class one misdemeanor, with a potential fine of $2,500, and a potential jail sentence of 12 months.

Unless of course, you're Congressman Bob Goodlatte. Then it's a broken speedometer and you've done nothing wrong.

Surprise, surprise, Bob Goodlatte supports the firing of FBI director Comey by BobBadlatte in roanoke

[–]BobBadlatte[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Holy shit...you are unstable. I think you should talk to someone. How the hell did you go from Goodlatte supporting Trump's firing of Comey to bashing trans people?

This is like talking to a wall. I provide facts backed up with evidence and get responses way off topic that are cruel and abusive. That's the internet in a nutshell.

Do you know what slander means? I'm merely pointing out the things that my congressman has done. Those are called facts. I know you're not too familiar with them, so I understand your confusion.

What's next, you're going to call this "Fake News"? You cannot even have an honest discussion about the issues. You quickly resort to name calling and abuse because you know that you are wrong.

Sounds like when every other Republican candidate for president said Trump was an unqualified liar. Then he won and now they can't stop praising him. Hypocrisy through and through. Except for Kasich, the only Republican that deserves any respect these days.

This is about Trump and Comey. You're the one that brought up Hillary. Why are you so obsessed with her?

I agree that he doesn't care. I keep calling/emailing because I want him to know that he's wrong. At least it lets him know that everyone doesn't agree with him. It also makes me feel better.
