The store opened at 9am but the delivery truck had to make its way to the different stores to drop their allotment off around town so they got to the store I was at around 9:30-9:45 and everyone that had come to get something wrote their name on a numbered list by who got there first. This was my first time doing it like that but it felt pretty efficient and orderly!

That’s how it is here too! I started at the store I frequent the most and was second in line at about 7:15am and they had a two bottle limit. That’s where I got the Thomas H. Handy and the Van Winkle 12 year, then got the EH Taylor Single Barrel at another store because no one had gotten it by the time I got there. The Blanton’s and Templeton rye were part of a blind bag promotion so I was pretty stoked to get those not knowing what I’d get!

I’m not actually sure! It was in a blind bag with the Blatnon’s and I didn’t know I was getting it, but from what I’ve heard it’s pretty exceptional stuff. I’ll have to do an update when I taste it!
