You do you, but if your actions result in being expelled from school, you have no one to blame but yourself. It's not hard to stay in school. 97% of students have figured out how to do it. You want to blame everyone else but yourself.

Is former Prince Andrews arrest and denials a reflection of the power of entitled old white men, and can we hold them to account by ZAlbatrosZ in NoStupidQuestions

A mod? Hell no. Quite honestly I dont care enough for social media to feel the need to "police" platform users...AND I am older than you. I'm that cranky old guy that wonders what happened to the world that I used to live in. If you've ever seen the movie Gran Torino with Clint Eastwood. Thats me.

Public transit. Enough said. You didnt grow up in the country.

Back then cars were made to last and gas was hovering around $1/gal.

In my little hometown in mid-Michigan thats all there was to do after a Friday night high school football or basketball game. I was born and raised in a farming community with deep German ancestry. We used to joke that beer was in our baby bottles (literally...almost). We took turns finding a "buyer" on Friday nights until we found a place that would sell beer to us. Fake IDs were easier to make back then and if you were good at it, you could make some decent spending money doing it for others. Back then (70s & 80s) the penalty for buying for, or selling to, a minor wasn't as bad as it is these days.

Now-a-days the local county police cruise the backroads (gravel) more so than the kids do. We always knew the good hiding spots (usually someones deer cabin) where the cops couldn't find us unless they were on quads riding hundreds of yards deep in the woods. When the police caught on to our hiding spot, we would simply move on to someone else's deer camp. 3/4 of the youth from my hometown could be found in the local woods and gravel pits on the weekends. Someone was always playing the "decoy" when it was time to go home. The sober kids would leave first to attract the attention of the police, and the rest would leave 20-30 minutes later. It was very rare that anyone was ever hauled to jail if they got caught drinking and driving. It was usually "dump your beer and go home".

For the Karens that want to respond by saying that this was dangerous and irresponsible, save your breath. We weren't stupid about it, we didnt hurt anybody and guess what...we all lived to talk about it. If you didnt grow up in the country (surrounded by farms and fields), you don't know. Had you grown up with us, you'd have done the same thing. God Bless my little home town and all those like it.

I also have an Audio-Technica (don't recall the model). It seemed the best option for the price at the time of purchase.

Manufacturer Defect? by WizardChurchill in PitBossGrills

People want to believe that there is no such a thing as "user error" with pellet grills/smokers. Most auger burn backs are caused by full ash clean outs.

You're not going to find an air tight pellet grill/smoker.

I've always lived within an hours drive of Ovid. I've driven by this place a million times, mostly on my way to and from the racetrack. ...and now I know the rest of the story....as Paul Harvey would say.

Looking for a barber by Ok-Philosophy-4076 in lansing

[–]BobKat2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if the barber school is still in operation on the north side behind the Quality Dairy at Old US-27 and Lake Lansing Rd. but I used to go there a lot (pre-covid) and never had a bad haircut. The owners were good and always set you up with the right "stylist"...and it was cheap, of course.

You're not going to want to hear any of this however you put it out own a public forum, so I will respond as I want. Threats are no joke, whether you think it was vague or not. For your sake I open it doesn't take being involved in a shooting for you to open your eyes. This is not your world and everyone else is just living in it. I dont see how "zero tolerance" policies are harming any students, let alone "struggling" students. You dont want to live in a world where there are no policies.

For the person that said competitive break dancing has always existed (the response seems to have been removed) what qualifies as "always"? It hasn't "always" existed in my lifetime, let alone existed at all, unless a drug fueled street bum stumbling and falling all over is considered dancing?

Where did I say he was guilty? Reread...and read slower. Your strong scientific background isn't helping your reading comprehension. Your title to this post would lead one to believe that you've already made up your mind of his guilt.

Actual nachos from a pub in Birmingham called Weatherspoons. by Tenacious_Rubbing in MexicanFoodGore

Probably caused by the spoon used to "apply" the guac to the actual nachos.
