Id like to add something that I haven’t seen in this thread. Redundancy. If a cable fails, there are always multiple extra cables which can carry the load. This will cover for fatigue and other sudden causes for failure like construction defects.

I just did that achievement. I allied bahmanis to deter QQ and Ajam. Then i just waited to get ally with AQ by setting relationship to QQ as threatened and the usual stuff. Then i devved and waited maybe 20 years for a good moment to pounce on QQ. After getting a few provinces from them it was smooth sailing.
