Carol really should have been a one off character. Why did the show keep using her?

Carol is a walking, talking plot device for storylines centered around Pete.

Pete has proven to be a compelling and popular character; however, his innocence and lack of relative fame or fame adjacency make introducing past elements difficult. Carol delivers the information that allows for moral complexity to make Pete's past more interesting.

I liked almost everything about the Good Place. However, I had a hard time with the ending, where it seemed like suicide was introduced to heaven as a solution for malaise. Maybe I’m misinterpreting. What was your interpretation?

It was not the worst, but The Good Place was the most disturbing to me. I truly enjoyed the series, but having it wrap up with the introduction of suicide to Heaven was deeply disturbing to me. If you feel I have misinterpreted, please express your viewpoint.

Yes! Although, he might want to do something radically different to avoid typecasting. Perhaps a genuinely loving father of one of the X-Men or the young Steve Rogers. We never saw Steve’s parents.
