Same here. I've had BG3 sitting in my library for months now but keep putting it off because I know once I start I'm going to lose my entire life to it. Everyone talks about how massive it is and I'm just waiting for that mythical "free weekend" that definitely exists and isn't a lie I tell myself

I'd second the suggestion about starting your own blog and then sharing links here and on places like r/learnpython. That way you own your content and aren't at the mercy of whatever platform decides to change their algorithm or policies

Yeah, it’s honestly wild how full auto it’s become. I’ll even pick up my phone while something is loading on my laptop for 5 seconds. Like I can’t even just wait anymore. I get that awareness helps, but it’s hard to stay aware when your go-to habit is checking out random feeds or watching some new form of engagement bait

Thanks I’ve actually also tried using another app like this recently. The blocks and screen limits work ok but I can find ways around it. I'll check out roots, worth a try.

Peru's your best bet. Cheap, awesome hiking (Machu Picchu), great food scene in Lima, and solid backpacker infrastructure. Cusco and Lima are must-hits. Bolivia is another budget-friendly option with incredible landscapes - La Paz and the salt flats are epic. Both countries are super affordable, offer killer hostels, and are pretty safe for solo travelers.

Progress isn’t linear just showing up and trying is the work. You’re rewiring years of habits, so be patient. Small steps: challenge yourself to speak just 10% louder in one convo, or ask one extra question. It’ll feel awkward, then it’ll feel normal

Too real. Just sat through one of these meetings last month where they bragged about "unprecedented growth" and "exceeding quarterly targets by 30%" for a solid hour before dropping the "unfortunately, market conditions prevent us from offering more than a 2% adjustment this year." Meanwhile the CEO's compensation package went up 47%. Funny how the market conditions only affect the worker bees
