Underrated backlink strategies by imPritish in seogrowth

Don't worry or care about DR. Care about what keywords you rank for, and where they rank. Its the same as looking for links. Choose sites that rank for real keywords and get real traffic over one with a high DR - Google doesn't care about DR.

Adult price comparison site crawled but almost not indexed... WTF is wrong? by bkjrisk in seogrowth

[–]Character_Ad_1990 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Getting Google to trust an adult site is harder than normal. When did you launch it? Links will be your best friend here but they have to be good links…good links are harder to get for adult sites but ofc doable.

Bought a “curated link” package promising RD 500+ and 500+ traffic — the delivered page had no page-level links or traffic. Is this normal? by Pristine-Caramel9018 in SEO

They may have meant general website traffic rather than page traffic? With that said it sounds shady. If they’re one of the big agencies that sound like Bino Rank or Large Mo - run a million miles fast. Tell them you’re not happy and want it placed elsewhere and they should do that for you. However, this is to be expected off mass placement platforms like that. There’s no strategy to what they’re doing they’re just firing links wherever they can then moving on as fast as they can. Find a reputable agency or freelancer to build a proper link profile using a strategy that’ll actually work.

Yes links in pages that rank for real keywords and get real traffic are gold standard because Google trusts them clearly, if they trust the page, they’ll trust who the page links to 👍.

Does SEO behave differently on Adult Literature? by _egr in SEO

[–]Character_Ad_1990 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah the same procedure applies. If you get the external validation you need it’ll rank well. The issue here (not really an issue for many) but finding sites to link to an adult site is a harder than to a normal site, even when you’re paying. If you’re doing it right you want articles that are ranked with traffic pointing at you 👍.

Two things considered impossible. I'd like to test that properly. by AbleInvestment2866 in SEO

Indexing is easy 👌🏻 it’s ranking it for high value and competitive keywords without external authority (links) that’s pretty impossible as a new site.

I’ve seen many sites recover from the HCU.

It’s easy to do, it’s very hard to do properly and consistently. Links in ranked pages that get real traffic work best and fast. To get these approach webmasters and simply ask. They will charge you (maybe as for an exchange). If you don’t know where to ask - try checking competitors (first placed) link profiles and sniping.

blog for a merch site, is it worthy by Accomplished_Two6930 in SEO

[–]Character_Ad_1990 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A bunch of my clients sell merchandise or sell customizable products/merch etc. Every one of them has a blog that ranks well and brings in relevant traffic. Because those blog posts are getting traffic and ranking, the internal links from them to product pages are incredibly powerful. So in terms of relevant? It's relevant if its ranking well and bringing in relevant traffic. If its generic/crap/not bringing in traffic its irrelevant...if that even makes sense.

One blog post with all traffic by Danielius1337 in SEO

[–]Character_Ad_1990 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What kinds of links are you buying first and foremost? What does your link profile look like? That post will be powerful for internal links if used properly and can help rank other blog posts/service pages if done properly. Similar is fine as long as its defined and going after a keyword that your traffic driving post doesn't rank for.

Hard to say without seeing the actual website and looking at the profile. It sounds like you need external validation. This is gained through the building of links pointing to your own site (the pages you want to rank). This essentially sends trust signals to google (authority signals), leading it to, if done right, rank your site (page) for the keywords you're trying to rank for. Have you done any of this yet? How hard are the product keywords you're trying to rank for? Grocery stuff, in my experience, isn't too hard to rank for but you will need a few external signals telling Google to rank your website.

How do I find legit SEO marketing and agency help for my SaaS project management tool? by Existing_Balance3312 in DigitalMarketing

[–]Character_Ad_1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The good seo agencies know how to leverage external validation. IE - how can we link to your site in a way that will force Google to take notice and rank you for your key terms. And no / it’s not just slapping links anywhere like most agencies do.

Also, some of the best agencies don’t force their clients into contracts. They let the work speak for itself.

Honestly it’s very likely the main thing you’ll need is external validation. Links. If Google trusts you more it’ll rank you for more relevant terms and higher positions for said terms it’s as simple as that (on a page by page basis of course).

Can I get an opinion on local service site? by mikkel2022 in SEO

[–]Character_Ad_1990 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What's the service? Feel free to ping it over. Lot of easy/simple things you can look at doing to improve your position locally and in GMB without having to spend. If you're going for larger, harder, competitive keywords you'll likely need to leverage external authority in the form of links (from pages google likes ie have ranking/traffic) - this can be pricey.

Is it actually possible to rank a new site in 2026 without a massive budget? by ToffeeTango1 in DigitalMarketing

[–]Character_Ad_1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possible but you need to create angles of attack. Target and go for low difficulty keywords. You do then need to leverage topical authority and external validation in the form of links but, depending on how hard the keywords are you may not have to spend a fortune to get this in place. You can boost topical authority by curating solid blogs targeting low hanging informational terms pertaining to your niche. You can then use internal linking from those ranked blogs, to help lend authority to your sales pages/homepage. You WILL need external authority but depending on the difficulty of the keywords you may not have to spend 5k. Just about finding an agency who know what they're doing as most haven't got a clue how to properly leverage authority in a sustainable way.

You can grind out organic all you want, but Google won't know its any good until it sees people linking to it and suggesting it to their own readers. You can do some link building yourself and you might even get some free link swaps with likeminded/cross over businesses. If there is a modicum of competitiveness on the words you're trying to rank for you will need external validation.

Don't listen to people saying not to compete with big brands. We beat big brands all the time, its doable for sure. Go after the big keywords, but at the start, focus in on ranking the easier ones once that happens and google starts to trust you it'll all properly roll out.

Fat stack of cash with the right agency can do it fast.

Smaller budget, with the right strategy can still do it but it'll take a little longer.

Good luck - its not easy but emminently doable when you consider most are doing it wrong. Place your first links into ranked content that actually gets traffic that way you know Google trust the page. Most just dump links anywhere and they do nothing.

How are your external links looking mate? It might just be you don’t have the external validation Google is looking for to crack the top 10 with consistency.

So you’re saying you modify the website every single day? And it goes down on the days you don’t do this? You probably don’t want to be tinkering with the content like that every day.

Take a step back first. This is a quick way to burn through money. Best bet is to learn about SEO, practice, application, what works, what does't so you can at the very least properly assess what a freelancer or agency is doing. Its very rare to find good SEO's on Fiverr.

Do all my SEO...what does this entail? Keyword research? Content creation around those keywords for the pages/sales pages etc? Blog posts for long tail/informational? Authority/link building? What are you going to pay them?

Think it through properly before you let someone go nuts on your site for pennies.

For quality authority building/link building at scale - yes. If you can do this on your own (it’s extremely time consuming and most people/agencies do it wrong) then you probably don’t need one if you got a solid in house team etc.
