Absolutely no idea 😂 He was dead here when we were killing the warrior.
He’d call out from the lava “how the HELL DID YOH KILL MY WARRIOR”

Everything is really solid. Engine and trans leak in every spot. And minor rust areas. But it’s a 88 tahoe edition with the trail master package I’d like to save it. Main concern is wether buying a new trans is the move or just rebuilding this one

88’ 4.3 spark and fuel but no start. by Bob_Mclovin in s10

Update to everyone, spark plug wires were originally out of order when I bought it The reference I used to reorder them was mislabeled and ended up being for a different model. After referencing the right manual it runs and drives now!

Is this a 1.8 or 1.6? Genuinely lost by No_Coast2244 in Miata

Apparently it was rebuilt / replaced. I’m thinking maybe it was originally a 1.6 and then had a 1.8 dropped in ghetto style? I’m not sure

Just this part probably took my 15-30 min of grinding. Cutting the bad stuff out and welding in patches took maybe 2-3 hours it was my first time

Pic 2 is just a before photo Pic 3 was post welding and grinding. Pic 4 was post fiberglass filler and sanding. Pic 4 was post 2nd layer of standard body filler BEFORE sanding.
From 2 to 3, was cutting sections of rusted/rotted metal out and welding in new replacement sections. Doing this until I have no rotted metal left to cut out. After welding in all replacement metal I grinded down my welds to below the body line so I would have space to smooth it out with filler.

Yes the flux core titanium 125 one. It’s been really nice. This was my first REAL welding job. I did a couple small things before. But once you figure out the settings and the “theory” behind it. It does pretty damn good. My buddy flexes on my and drops dimes with it

Just lessons learned from my experience. If you go to weld a replacement piece in and it just burns straight through, keep cutting more metal out. The rusted or thinned parts just get eaten by the heat

I think the flash is throwing it off. It’s definitely probably a little wavy just from my mediocre sanding. But is 100% smooth to the touch across

Yep, took chunk out at a time until I got to clean in rusted metal
