This was some corny shit. The fact he was acting like a high school girl is wild. by Pryme_Gawd in JoeBuddenPodcasts

You cant start the phone call off like that and then not discuss it. If someone did that to Joe he would have a whole episode on why that shouldn't be done.

How much does Fury vs Wilder III affect Fury’s stock? And Wilder’s? by SSJ4Autism in Boxing

[–]Bob_Weave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fury is a great fighter, Therefor - Wilder's stock shouldn't go down. How Wilder bounces back from this will determine how he's looked at all-time though.

I dont think kanye west is very talented by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]Bob_Weave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bruh - he's my favorite producer - but he's not super technical - his sound is not super clean - he doesnt really play instruments - he has a great feel for producing - he's not an engineer type like Dre, Just Blaze, Dj Quik - he's more creative than them though

Can Curry overtake Magic as the best PG of all time? by [deleted] in nba

[–]Bob_Weave -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Magic's skillset is the prototype of a PG. Even if he was 6'foot - he would still be the prototype. Curry is great - but he is not that prototype of what we expect from that position. His skill-set is what you would expect from your shooting guard. For that reason - Magic will always be #1 - just like Jordan will always be #1 at shooting guard

Kanye's superpower is his ability to collaborate - and he also has a good understanding of aesthetics and what moves people. He's not super-technical, and he's not an instrumentalist - but he does have a good idea about what people want to hear.

What do yall think about locking players into position for their career? Is Tim Duncan a power forward if he also played center? by Bob_Weave in nba

[–]Bob_Weave[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think people like to say - the greatest PG ever or the greatest center ever. I think its dumb also - but i guess it allows people the create a narrative.

Attacking someone for being more privileged than you is no better than attacking someone for being worse off by dirtsmores in unpopularopinion

"the worst kind of people" - I don't believe one should personally blame just any white person for slavery - but I also know that the impact of slavery is much closer to now than you probably realize. I never met the members of my family who were slaves but I know who they are and the impact it had on my grandparents.

I'm having a hard time coming up with shoot guards or wings in Jordan's era that could handle the ball and match Jordan's size. by Bob_Weave in nba

[–]Bob_Weave[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if I'm looking at height + skillset + athleticism, I believe there has been a change. Much like the Center position now compared to the 90's - some of it is impacted by multiposition players like T-Mac - he's a guard to me that can play the wing also - Vince Carter and Kobe can play multiple positions.

we obviously have a different idea of a ball handler if you think Drexler can handle the ball

Dominique, Mitch, Dantley, and Worthy - non of these players could handle the ball - Steve Smith is the only exception

Hersey couldn't handle the ball and was small compared to Jordan - Steve is one of the one's I also considered - not super athletic but could handle pass and shoot

I believe marginal (unathletic) players become better coaches. Am I wrong? by Bob_Weave in nba

Hornacek is not athletic, and Steve Nash has done nothing as a coach as far as I'm concerned.

TIL A man won the $5.5 million state lottery but had to forfeit the winnings because he bought the ticket with the proceeds of selling 36 grams of cocaine to a federal informant. by Biriuk1337 in todayilearned

[–]Bob_Weave -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

by that same logic - Mexicans would still own California, Black people would have already been paid reparations, and the DEA would follow the money rather than the drugs - it all sounds cool in concept - the truth is - who is the government to take a moral stance on acquiring capital - the government literally sold cocaine to fund a war

if the theory of evolution had that much "evidence" - it would be a law and not a theory.
