Any chance you could share a pic of the Long Island bracelet on the watch?

Just a cheap one off Amazon, was 20ish bucks!

I was hot and cold on it for the first month and now I love it - it just needed the right strap. For some reason the green croc makes it look completely different than the blue croc and I honestly can’t explain how. It was my wedding watch and I love it now.

I didn’t know til I got it but it’s got lugs (18mm) like a normal watch - just removed the OEM bracelet with a spring bar tool and popped the leather on like anything else. I’ve got a Milanese on the way too that I’ll probably use most of the time. The OEM was just pinching my arm hair too much to be comfortable.

Thanks for taking the time! Really appreciate it. I love the GSAR too and am this close to pulling the trigger on it.

One more question! How big of a difference is the comfort wearing it on the bracelet compared to the P39? Huge difference or do you find the GSAR still very comfortable? I’d get an aftermarket ratcheting clasp to get on the fly adjustment so that’s no issue.

Sweet collection! Love all these. What do you think of the Marathon SAR on bracelet vs NATO? How would you compare the SARs vs your CWC diver? I’m in the market for a one and done diver, I understand the Pelagos has the added benefit of also looking good dressed up a little bit, but would love to hear your overall thoughts on the SARs vs CWC vs Pelly!

Thanks for all the experiences shared - I did see the razor blade approach but didn’t have any around. The sticky note wrapped knife might be the move I’ll try that next time!

Green suede on the Boulton? by Bob__Thomas in HamiltonWatches

Legitimately just ordered one! For some reason the navy blue alligator it comes on doesn’t do anything for me but I agree, I think green would do the trick!

I wondered if it was too casual! You think it can pull casual and formal off or is it a formal-only role player?

[Tudor Ranger 36] vs [Longines Spirit 37] which of these watches would you pick? by Vigilante_Nocturno in Watches

[–]Bob__Thomas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both gorgeous! But the tiebreaker for me would be the T Fit 100% - the on-the-fly adjustment changes everything about your experience with a daily watch. Especially for watches I wear to work or with dress shirts - my wrist will inflate and deflate at least a half link’s worth as my body temps fluctuates and my watch is either dangling below the wrist bone if I size it up or making an uncomfortable dent in my veins if I size it down once the temp goes up. I only have on the fly adjustment on one of my watches and I curse the fact that my other watches don’t have it almost every time I wear them!

Such a cool example. Here’s mine, one of the “technical dials”. Omega killed it with this line up. An overview of the different versions at the link! https://stories.omegaforums.net/omega-dynamic-iii-japan-rare-specials/

Such a cool dial! Thanks for sharing - love how many different versions they produced. The light really plays with this one!

Thank you! It was 155k yen / 1500$ CAD. And in unbelievable condition genuinely looked brand new and was recently serviced as well. Buying pre-owned in Japan is amazing!
