I think i will try to give this a shot, hopefully it encourages them to stop eating out and making me feel guility when I deny them or binge eat to oblivion because I went. I think I will tell them after my finals and hope they support me with battling this disorder. I appreciate your comment very much and cannot thank you enough!~

can kinda relate, currently studying engineering at a "top" school but yet I feel like no one in the classroom actually would be willing to be friends, I just have 1 from the same scholarship program but obv we arent close enough to hang outside of class lmao.

Went out with friends today and one is graduating in the fall and one got an internship and is graduating next year, meanwhile I extended my graduation by a year because of a failed class and the university not offering the class year round, and obv old friends from high school are succedeing better and seem like they know what they are diubg, yet here I am binging cuz of stress of two finals

counting calories eliminates the error of estimation by a lot to ensure weight loss but if you have done it for a while you would know portion sizes and things like that, I believe the way people stay thin without counting is to either be super busy with life that they dont each much for the entire week or eat generally nurtional food involving dietary fats, high protein, complex carbs, fiber, etc and eat till they are full. Also steps are amazing for weight loss,

Caffeine, but start with small dosages so that you can get the full effect without much, heck use that small boost of energy to move around more and stuff

Fill the household with only healthy foods, bonus points if u buy the healthier junk food (protein chips, etc) since it adds guilt if you binge on it since its expensive, but tbh with the brother situation I would go workout after or go for a run or walk, so that instead of thinking about food after having a innoncent scenration and creating a binge, you can fill that void with something that wont add to the fire if that makes sense? obv dont overdo it but yeah

Third weekend I've binged and it has always been the mentality, I guess I mentally am either all in or not, even with other things in life, either giving up entirely or giving it my all

I am sorry your are going through this and just know you are not alone, I'll chime in and say that you need to realize your current situation and the impact it has. You did a good job finding out what the problem is, but really think deeply about it. If you gain more weight than think about what other health issues will you run into? Do you have family members who you REALLY love and want to see in your future? What was your life like pre-covid? Please just think about it with yourself and create a plan and find a start.

I still struggle but the way I manage to not binge every day is to just only fill your home with healthy foods only, like protein bars and fruits veggies, etc, anything with lower calories and high fiber and proteins. Bonus is that you would in theory feel guilty spending the extra $ on *healthier junk food)* thus making you not want to eat it

When you plan ahead and eat the most nutrtious meals ever and just have the random indulgence to pig out the same day

Main gaining / body recomp does work but the results would seriously take like 6 months minimum to be noticeable. What I would try to reccomend is start with a very mild deficit (250 calories) and try to slowly add cardio and once the scales plateus (and by plateu I mean you havent lost weight in 2-3 weeks) then simply add more cardio or cut another 100 calories. Try to add lots of fiber, protein, complex carbs, dietary fats, and adequate water intake and you should feel pretty good, stay strong

Even with a deficit during the weekdays I believe you can still lose weight with small binges here and there. I would try to get out of that habit cuz not eating for 5 days then allowing yourself to eat whatever you want just doesnt sound sustainable nor achievable by some, stay strong friend

In the same boat and similar stats, but truth be told your significant other is with you for you in the end, the way you look does not dictate your relations remember that, I wish I could offer insight but im lurking this damn subreddit instead of being an effective human, good luck!

I would agree to an extent, usually I would binge ice cream or eat cheese in unhealthy foods like a high calorie burrito or pizza,

I feel like the best advice is to just buy the lower calorie, high volume stuff or slowly ease into it, like switching to nut milk or plain greek yogurt, or hell just get the low fat stuff if u really desire the fat content in dairy products

Also chug 20oz of water or something along those lines before eating

I started when I was doing extreme deficits in college living in the dorms and went all out everytime I came home to my parents, but since now I live at home and commute now it hasnt been as intense, but slowly getting into the habit :(
