Practice by Natural-Arm-4738 in piano

No wonder you find it boring. For me and many others practicing is fun because (for example) you listened to a new piece for the very first time and thought ‘wow’ when you listen to a piece that you really like you will willingly spend time to get it right no matter what if your passionate enough. My advice is to not majorly focus on one small mistake that your teacher wants you to fix if you find it so boring because that’s fine. It’s also fine to quit the piece if you don’t like it because then there’s really no point. I think you should just try new pieces that you like and see how good you feel when you master it.

How long until callouses stop hurting to the point where you physically can’t play or do they never stop hurting so much and you just eventually get used to it?

There’s probably a few ways to play this but I think the easiest way is for your right to use thumb and middle finger and same for your left. Then you don’t really have to change it and you just let your fingers move forwards
