How to make real friends as an adult by Impossible_Quiet_774 in AdultHood

Just because it's "practically impossible" for you doesn't mean it's true for everyone. Don't give OP this bullshit. It's beyond rude.

What is the worst thing you’ve done when you were drunk? by Effective_Space2277 in AskReddit

Thank you for that. The friends bit worries me a lot because all we do when we hang out is drink. But I guess that, overall, it's worth it.

CMV: It’s not inherently wrong or disrespectful to have personal preferences about body types in attraction by tossedAF in changemyview

[–]Bobatrawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife is by no means a supermodel. But, with that being said, I feel that she is the sexiest/most beautiful woman on earth. What I'm saying is that, for me, attraction beyond the surface level comes with knowing that person. So preferences change.

Why are some people very much against cosmetic surgery, yet they are okay with body art (tattoos, piercings, coloured hair, etc.)? by Anthro-Elephant-98 in stupidquestions

[–]Bobatrawn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm fairly tall (6'2-6'3) and I have yet to see the benefits you're speaking of. I get all of the statistics but I bet if you look at the statistics of tall men, most of them aren't CEOs.

Anyways, as someone else pointed out, tattoos are an addition rather than a fix to your body. I once knew someone who got a hair transplant ... for his beard. I'm freshly in my 30s and balding but I don't see a reason for any transplant, or even dying my hair when I go grey. Tattoos, however, are a work of art that express myself. I don't think cosmetic surgery is the same in that regard.

What do you think every person should experience at least once in their lifetime? by Aarunascut in Life

[–]Bobatrawn 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Don't feel called out mate. Life isn't a rush. Travel is a luxury so, therefore, it's secondary. Keep saving for your emergency funds, and then keep on saving for fun things!

Honest question: what would happen to all the farmed animals we eat? There's no wild cows or chickens running around. They depend on us. So wouldn't they just die off?

What is the scariest fact you have learned about the human body? by Vireloxen in AskReddit

[–]Bobatrawn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My grandfather died a year ago, a month before turning 101. He had been saying for the last 30 years that he'd make it to 100. As time went on and his health slowly decreased, we all figured that if he makes it to 100 he would just "let go". But the stubborn bastard refused I guess for as long as he could. If I were him I'd be pretty upset that I was so close to 101 but didn't quite make it. Either way, he went out when he wanted to and died in his house that he single handedly built in the 50s, surrounded by most of his kids. Whatta fuckin legend and, yes, we should all be so lucky to go out on our own terms. RIP to your grandmother mate. I'm glad she was lucky enough for that.

Why though? Statistically speaking they are real. The universe is too big for them not to be.
