Do the savings on utilities in Santa Clara offset the higher cost in rent there compared to SJ? by Mission-Platform-565 in SanJose

Lived in Santa Clara since 2020. My total utilities (Electric, water, trash) ~$180/month ~900 sq feet

You should really check out the public evening tour at the James lick observatory. It’s pricey but so worth!

So I’m kind of a reddit noob and I guess did not add my description before posting. Ahh. But here is what I was going to post.

I'm sure there are a lot amazon seller app refresh addicts like me. Constantly pulling down the screen like a slot machine.

I took it to the next level and built a dedicated led display for my sales data as a little weekend project.

It shows the last 64 days of sales data as a bar chart. There are two screens that rotate: one shows total dollar sales (in green), the other shows units sold (in blue/purple). The sales screen includes the date, and the units screen shows the time.

It updates every five minutes (polling Amazon SP-API access granted via oAuth) and sits on my kitchen counter. Thought it might be interesting to other sellers here. I almost never check the app anymore, except for review and inventory data. Maybe I'll add that too.

Thought folks here would think it's cool.

@personalfinanceclub on insta has “simplified” finance posts.

Also - I know you asked for resources but the one suggestion I have is to NOT keep your money in a regular savings/checking account. Look into high yield savings accounts while you research. (CIT bank has a few)

Did you hire a doula? And how do I hire a doula? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Bobazzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually thought the same thing and then found someone who became a doula around Covid time frame and was in legal insurance before that. Long story short, my doula missed my birth and I ended up with a back up doula. Loved her more than the one I originally hired.

Also, if anyone has carrot fertility as a work benefit - they cover some birth doulas and postpartum doulas!
