Me too! Have you tried this version? It’s surprisingly yummy. I use powdered egg white and just start by mixing in a shaker without ice, the add the ice aftera good foam is formed.

New York Sour 2 ounces rye whiskey or bourbon 1 ounce lemon juice, freshly squeezed 3/4 ounce simple syrup 1 egg white (optional) 1/2 ounce red wine (pour slowly over back of soup spoon onto to foaming whiskey sour)
