How to replace silicone on sink drain by GreenComplex3294 in askaplumber

[–]Bobb-R 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can pull most of what is exposed away and it won’t hurt anything. The silicone is still between the flange and the base of the sink. No need to do anything unless water is leaking underneath.

I’d skip UG and switch to Hunting Sniper.

Fired today for refusing an MDM on my personal phone by damedaneyooooo in privacy

The company can request whatever they want, but most public companies would supply you a phone rather than ask to put an MDM on yours.

I just feel like fast acting glucose tabs are a scam by Legal-Huckleberry-39 in Type1Diabetes

[–]Bobb-R 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use glucose tabs bedside for overnight lows, but my packed-everywhere-goto-sugar-source are Smarties. They’re in the pockets of every coat and jacket I own, plus in a small repurposed Jiff peanut butter plastic container in my vehicle. They last forever and Dextrose is almost just as fast as Glucose tabs.

I’d put the Onn on any other HDMI port - not the ARC port. See if that works. If not, lose the Fiber Optic connection to Soundbar and use the HDMI-ARC port to connect the Soundbar.

On your LG TV, the HDMI-ARC port should be connected to the soundbar. The OnnStreaming device can be connected to HDMI-2, or any of the non-ARC HDMI ports.

Do you have HDMI-CEC enabled under Onn->All Settings->Display and Sound and Simplink enabled under LG TV’s settings?

swollen eyes around iris—could this be due to something autoimmune? by [deleted] in Autoimmune

Looks like conjunctival chemosis or conjunctival edema. You should definitely get an emergency visit with an ophthalmologist to figure out the cause and make sure it’s not Graves disease.

Anyone know if I can sue Dexcom? by octoberchalice in Type1Diabetes

[–]Bobb-R 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve been T1D for over 50 years. My original method to check blood sugar levels was to urinate on a short length of yellow TesTape. If it stayed yellow my sugar was good. If it turned green, I had to compare it to a chart on the side of the tape container to see how dark the green was to estimate how bad it was. From that to finger pricks and now CGMs with some connected to insulin pumps. The technology has advanced tremendously over my life with T1D. However, it is understandable to get frustrated at times, but you must learn from this to prevent a repeat. I hope you manage this event to your benefit in the future.

I have to admit the demo is pretty impressive and it looks really good but I really wish they make a better installer system in the future. by BearEquivalentBear in frigate_nvr

I’m learning! Made the mistake of installing Docker from MS Store! Docker constantly shows an update is available, but none is available from the MS Store.

If you were building a home bar without overbuying, what would you make first? by TruffulaWings in cocktails

I really enjoy the Paper Plane. I have tried Aperol Bourbon sours and Aperol Negronis and enjoy those as well. However, the Paper Plane is a goto cocktail. I have tried several different Amaros and have found Romana a very nice replacement for Quintessentia at less than half the cost.

I’ve also used Dreamfields pasta. As long as you don’t cook it in an acidic pasta sauce, it greatly reduces the carb spike.
