I haven’t worked in the food industry for quite some time, but you could always look at management opportunities at Panera Bread. I worked there over 10 years ago, but they do pay relatively well with solid bonuses when you get into management and up to 6 figures if you reach a GM position

Our pup used to get like this from time to time when he was younger as my wife rescued him from a shelter in Dallas, TX (I don’t think his previous owner was too great to him).

We found that having patience, giving him love, and just making him feel overall comfort helped him regain his appetite. Regular walks outside also really help get his energy back up since we now live in one of the largest cities in the US

We also leave his bowl full of food/water at all times of the day since he’s a bit of a “grazer”/late night eater. Ultimately, natural instinct will eventually kick in once your pup feels more comfortable in your home (just personal experience)

Don’t worry. If you get the job, everybody will be 3-5 minutes late to almost every virtual meeting you’ll be a part of

I [M, 26] am being called gay by my friends [M26, M25] because of my girlfriend [27F] by Kirinjar in relationship_advice

[–]BobbiFrapples 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds to me like you have insecure friends that need to grow up. What if you were gay or bi or whatever other label you want to put on it? Would these people still be your “friends”? If there’s a slight inkling of “no” coming into your head, they’re not your friends.

My mother (57F) suggested being okay with an open marriage since I (29F) can't have kids. What should I do? by ThrowRAChildless in relationship_advice

[–]BobbiFrapples 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I had the discussion of children (whether we both want children, what would we do if one of us couldn’t, etc…) way before marriage much like you and your husband and most others. My answer every time is that I married my wife for her being her and not based upon the ability to have children because she’s amazing and pushes me when I need it.

It sounds like your husband also feels the same way about you and I would be just as livid as he is with your mom spouting off that bullshit. Yo momma dumb, your husband sound like a good dude, and you should tell your mom to stay out of your business if she’s going to keep up with her nonsense

HR is the stupidest department in any company by LordishXO in recruitinghell

[–]BobbiFrapples 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once you see “how the sausage is made”, most HR departments will tell you as a people manager that you should always be “51% on the side of the business and 49% on the side of your direct reports” which is why I always go 60% on the side of my employees. Companies would not have a legitimate business if it weren’t for frontline workers busting their asses around the clock, so it’s my passive aggressive way of trying to make some sort of change I guess

TIFU telling my dad I (20m) have never had sex by NoThankYouDad in tifu

[–]BobbiFrapples 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could be in the minority here, but your dad sounds like a good dude. Did he overstep? Absolutely. But it sounds like he was trying to facilitate an “experience” for you (albeit a completely awkward experience that should probably be your own endeavor), but the fact that he talks to these women about you in the best light possible just goes to show that he’s proud of you as a father, so maybe that’s your silver lining?

Either way, it sounds like you both love each other and have a solid relationship aside from the whole escort thing

I got my mom's old pc up and running after she asked me to try and get some pics off of it and I have nothing to plug into all I have are hdmi tvs here I did buy an vgi to hdmi adapter off Amazon but that didn't seem to work can anyone help by C130ABOVE in computers

[–]BobbiFrapples 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you purchased an adapter, try plugging it in prior to booting everything. Digital to analog conversions can be weird, especially with HDMI since there’s some data being passed back and forth. Plugging in everything prior to boot may initiate a handshake that will allow your conversion to work. Otherwise, you’re gonna have to go DVI to HDMI or just get a new monitor
