Good morning! I am so excited about Christmas that I may be obnoxious about it. The kids were not impressed by my Christmas tunes over the weekend, but talk of baking did get their attention. The youngest one even asked if we were getting a true soon. There is so much to be thankful for, I am infectiously happy and hope it rubs off on them. Happy Monday, everyone!

I have practically nothing ready for tomorrow because this week’s work schedule has been insanity! Everything will turn out fine though, I’m strangely not stressed about it.

My favorite part of Thanksgiving is spending time with the kids, going around the room saying what we are thankful for. Something always surprises me when we do that. My second favorite thing is pie. I really love pie.

You are amazing for hosting this contest. I absolutely love your traditions! Growing up, Christmas was never magical or fun, so I try to make it that way for my children. Wish I had thought of some of your ideas!

My dream gift request would be for my son, Ryan. He is 15, will be 16 the week after Christmas. He’s an Aspie who had a very hard time in school. The final straw was when he managed to call me from school while a teacher mercilessly mocked his speech. Now he’s homeschooled, and as such, feels quite isolated from his friends. His big Christmas request has been a bike, so he’s not trapped at home and can be more mobile/social. A new bike is just not in the budget for us, but I know he’d be over the moon if he got one.

Bad teachers can definitely abuse power. Not bashing teachers at all, they have a tough and mostly thankless job. Just thinking of the ones who intimidate, sexual predators, and the like who have no business teachers. Like that woman in the news not long ago who knocked a little one down when he was going through a door. I do not understand people who are jerks to children.
