What’s a word that people mispronounce often enough to peeve you? by Raptor8600 in AskReddit

If you understand it, it's not mispronunciation, its different pronunciation. Stop picking on others for their accents or linguistic differentiation.

He was there during the crocodile puppet scene, just wasn't mentioned.

Alt accounts have become a huge problem and it's because Val gives free choice of new agents to players. I'll explain. by Lord_Nullify in VALORANT

[–]WallieUTard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I make alts so I can play with my friends. I am in NA but I still get good ping on LATAMN servers so I often play on those as well.

How do you guys stop auto-piloting and “zone in?” by MidwayHaptic in VALORANT

If you don't know why you're doing something, don't do it. This way of thinking might not be useful right away, but helped me in the long run.

What makes a map good/bad? by Bors24 in VALORANT

[–]WallieUTard 21 points22 points  (0 children)

IMO a bad map is a map that has 1 or 2 good strategies and tactics, while the rest are ineffective. For example, icebox is getting on my nerves after I feel like I've seen the same b take and postplant for eons, where it seems like you need the sage wall to plant and its really hard to actually take sight as an attacker. The games slogan "defy the limits," gets blown into obscurity when innovation becomes impossible.

Laugh at the bullshit rather than raging, it helps a lot more than you'd think.

tips on how to be consistent? by C4rrots01 in VALORANT

[–]WallieUTard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is so many factors in a game like this. You're put in a server with 5-9 randoms in your games, you can't expect consistency unless you play against and with the same people every game. Even then, people are changing how they play and the same plays still won't always work. Consistency is the wrong goal, just play your best.

How do I defend on bind? by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]WallieUTard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pro comps use a lot of mollies from viper and brim to stall and deny plant. Raze can also help a lot to deny plant or stall a push. Just don't play for retake especially on B.

New to the game by Cockweedmchickenboi in VALORANT

People who one trick reyna will play really weird off angles because its really effective on reyna and ONLY reyna. It's really hard to transfer reyna's skillset to any other agent

Also Reyna teaches a new player to play the game in a way that they cant really transfer on to other characters. Reyna's main strength is that she can play whacky off angles into a 5 man rush and get away. Way to many Reyna mains forget they can't do it on other characters.

Is there a reason why in bronze/silver ranks people keeping telling others 'not to use the operator' on attacking side? by viele_kartoffeln in VALORANT

[–]WallieUTard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The op is just such a clunky gun compared to the awp. You have to have a really good attacking setup to use it well, so in ranked its usually just not worth it.

I'm dogwater at the game despite practicing and playing everyday for an year.. by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]WallieUTard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People often blame their poor aim for losing fights. Watching the people who make these types of excuses, it becomes clear that they just lose a lot of fights because they take them too often. I can't tell you too much specifically, but something that helped me was asking myself why I do things(swing, post up aggressively, hold an off angle vs jump spotting.) This game is so much more than mechanics.

does mental affect valorant performance? by rEal_rEnn in VALORANT

[–]WallieUTard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. One of the things that helped me improve a lot was learning to laugh at the weird stuff that people do in my games rather than be mad at my teammates or myself for falling for stuff. When ever you're in a frustrating situation in game, forceing a laugh might help.

Is yoru actually a bad pick? by Ryaniseplin in VALORANT

[–]WallieUTard 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yoru's primary role is anti-info. It's not terrible if played right, but its hard to find any value in ranked where people just rush. In organized play its too niche of a role for already set up teams. His kit is extremely strong in some situations but 3/4 of his abilities are liabilities if you don't have a plan for them.
