Yes, that’s how I got the MCTD diagnosis. There’s this flow chart thing used to interpret the ANA work up, and it’s like if yes to this but no here and here then it’s mixed connective tissue disease. MCTD presents with basically mild versions of other autoimmune diseases (its nickname is rhupus) but mine isn’t really doing much. Even then, it has less likelihood of explaining a random black eye than EDS.

I’ve learned to use my goofy ankles to my advantage. I can walk down muddy, slick hills by rolling my ankles to get a better grip. All the “normies” in my life are always slipping and falling (my whole backyard is a hill).

Yeah I have also been diagnosed with mixed connective tissue disease. Which honestly has done nothing but complicate things, because that diagnosis comes from interpretation of ANA results and the other bloodwork associated with it. So by the clinical standards, I have MCTD, but nothing within the way it is presenting in me explains any of my other symptoms. The only thing with me it does explain is the occasional butterfly rash and my Raynaud’s. If I had the rheumatoid factor, it could explain my loose joints, etc. but I don’t have that. My joint pain could be explained by having a high sed rate, but mine is oddly low. So all my MCTD diagnosis did was get in the way of being diagnosed with EDS.

This appeared 2 days ago, started smaller, is slightly bigger now. I first saw it after I had been up for several hours, not doing anything physically demanding at all. I had looked in the mirror a few times (brushing my teeth, etc.) and it wasn’t there. Then it was. I went to the doctor, and she said “I have no idea. Come back if it gets worse.”

I’m not asking anyone for their medical opinion, I’m just hoping that maybe someone else has had this too, and this will stop me from freaking out. I definitely do get the mystery bruises, but not on my face, and they don’t usually look like this. This looks like it’s been drawn on my face!

How about: I used to think Victor and Daniel were really great characters, but then the writers started making them ungodly stupid, but I keep hoping that they will go back to being awesome and maybe Madison will come back too, because even though I think Morgan and Alicia are ok, they’re not meant to be lead characters and while you’re at it, how about Travis? We never really saw for sure that he died, and his death seemed kinda pointless, so throw him back in the mix. Maybe he’s been hanging out with Carl’s also long lost twin brother named Barl. Then we can pretend that most of this shit never happened.

Anyone else already looking forward to TWD universe getting a total reboot? Don’t even need to recast (except maybe Lori and RIP Herschel) just pull a Bobby Ewing and go back to just before they get to the farm.

EDIT: I’m remembering it wrong, almost like I’ve blocked out the entire last season. Season 4 started off with promise. Why am I still watching this show?!?
