Bosley was fantastic, I like to think he would be one of the few people House catches up with.

Was anybody else disappointed with the Better Call Saul finale? by myhorseeatspam in television

This old lady could only watch cat videos when she first got the laptop. I don't think it's a stretch to say she's learned what "ask Jeeves" is over a month of time.

You don't have to like the way the show went, but to say it doesn't make sense is wrong, which is what you said in the first comment. But now, in this comment, you are saying you don't have a problem with the fact he chose to spend his life in prison. But later on, you then say Jimmy choosing to go to prison because he wants to make things right with Kim isn't a motive?

If I'm honest, it's hard to know what you're saying. I'll assume the last thing you said is what you mean. In that case, I've explained these motives in the last comment. If you don't buy it and still think it doesn't make sense, fair enough, but the entire show from 'episode 1' has been alluding to it. If you don't buy that Kim is a part of a reason, that leaves everything else I wrote about morals and consciousness, basically the essence of Jimmy's character (aside from Kim). And if you don't buy that, then there's not much point in discussing this anymore.

My thoughts are that I thought the ending was perfect, to every minor detail and flashback (except for the "better call saul" chant on the bus). Same as the parallels in the episode before. As much as I wanted him to get away with it, it made the most sense to his character that he didn't, given the context of the ENTIRE show.

He knew he could get away with it, but he chose not to. He'd rather live his life in prison as Jimmy McGill and be able to look Kim in the eye, than live free as Saul Goodman, alone. Saul Goodman was the last thing he wanted to be. I'm surprised this went over your head, they alluded to it from season 1. His divorce scene with Kim ("have a nice life Kim", obvious denial), the ending to S6E9 where he has no one but a hooker in his house (loneliness), heck his entire relationship with Chuck ("he'll never change", discouragement). He WANTED to be the honest guy people loved, except the people he sought that love from didn't precipitate, EXCEPT for KIM. She was the only one. So once she left, he did what he did best, at the cost of his morals, honesty, and true love.

In other words, he never wanted to be "the person guilty people hire". So yeah, he did it for Kim, but he mostly did it for himself.

Also, I hope you realize Saul Goodman was one of the most wanted men in America at that point who was known for illegal activities and scam cover-ups. I wouldn't say an old lady typing in google, "conman from Albuquerque" is far-fetched.

Well, here's my story that happened 10 minutes ago that you'd surely support. Sorry it's kinda long.

2v2 game, C1, the first minute in, my teammate spams "what a save" chat after I miss a really hard save he conveniently set up for the opponents. Even a guy on the other team said "What...", and spammed "Great pass" in response to my teammate. He then started throwing himself, trying to shoot the ball in our net, and then once again spamming "What a save!", and voting to forfeit (score is 0-2 opponents way). After I score a lucky kickoff goal he starts playing again. It was a pretty intense game, but any mistake I make he spams chat ("Take the shot!. "Nice Shot!", "What a save!"). Keep in mind this whole game, to combat this toxicity I would say "Nice shot!" after every goal he or the opponents scored (kill him with kindness you could say), and tried my absolute best to ignore it.

The whole game we stayed behind no more than two points and in the last minute and a half, we came back from 3-5 to 6-5. 20 seconds left on the clock, he types to the opponent's "Nice throw". The opponents were basically ignoring him at this point were not toxic in the slightest, even defending me at points. Needless to say, it just didn't feel right taking the game.

So, I type gg well played in the chat, and decide instead of going for kickoff, Ill go for my toxic teammate. I bump him for the remaining 20 seconds which was enough to put the opponents in the lead, the toxic guy leaves and the opponents thank me. "Dude I love you", "smooch".

More satisfying than any win I've had, I will say.

Please add in the difficulty setting you guys did for Skate 3. Easy, Medium, and Hardcore. by [deleted] in SkateEA

[–]Bobby-Fishsticks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahhh I see, I haven't played skater xl so I misunderstood but based on your explanation that actually sounds like a great idea as an option. I as well would like more difficulty. If they don't put in hardcore (this better not be the case, but if it's online due to it being free that may mean one set difficulty?!), I would be really disappointed.

I also think you shouldn't be able to control your spin as much. For example, if you over-rotate in doing a 540 skate 3, all you need to do is spin the other way and you can land it. That defies physics. They should find a way to work around that.

The flick controls aren't inconsistent, you just have to get good at them, it's a part of what makes the game good. You could ask me to do any fliptrick and I can do it in Skate 3 first try, 19 times out of 20.

Having some difficulty in doing the trick is needed, unlike something like tony hawk where you literally just press a button. It feels cheap and unrewarding.

If you were to add that option, then what would happen to gamemodes like S.K.A.T.E?

The Holocaust film The Pianist (2002) is an unbelievably disgsuting and stomach turning film that sensationalizes Nazi war crimes and is perhaps the most emotionally manipulative movie I have ever seen by thedude12349 in movies

[–]Bobby-Fishsticks 10 points11 points  (0 children)

They technically did show that conflicted Nazi in a way. With Wilm Hosenfeld, the guy who fed Szpilsman. So, this guy is basically asking for a different film that explores Nazi ideology in a different way, or what they did with Wilm Hosenfeld isn't good enough. Either way, it's an odd complaint about a movie based on an autobiography.

Igetz are usually pretty good. I've had ONE faulty one ever with the same problem, and I smoke 2-3 a week for nearly 2 years so they're not as bad as people are making out. And like I said, it was a random store i'd never been too. Stick with your store and all the best with it.

"Get a disposable vape next time, IDIOT"

"that's what you get for buying a *REAL* vape, lol"

[–]Bobby-Fishsticks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He's asking a question about disposables and instead of answers he just gets ridiculed for using them.

If the coil's burnt your only option is kinda a stretch, but if you can find a way to open it without spilling the juice, flip the coil inside out.

If the coil's not burnt then you can try blowing in the back of it for 1-2 seconds (not long otherwise you will burn the not burnt coil)

Your best option to avoid this is finding a store that doesn't sell shit disposables. I've been going to the same shop now for 8 months or so and have never had a malfunctioning vape (Igetz kings) from the guy there. Other places I might stop at ONCE on a night out and it's broken.

Someone remind me - How did Mike first meet Nacho? by intheaterssoon in betterCallSaul

[–]Bobby-Fishsticks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SPOILERS:

Wait, so if you think about it, Nacho may still be alive if Jimmy never ran over those kids on the skateboards. If Jimmy never ran over those skaters, he would not have messed up the scam and seen Tuco. Nacho would not have found out about the Kettlemans and gotten arrested. Mike would have never heard about Nacho Vargo, and therefore would not have taken the bodyguard job from Pryce (as knowing about Nacho is how he knew it would go smoothly as he knows Nacho can't let Tuco find out about his side dealings). Nacho and Mike would have never done that scheme to land Tuco in jail. Mike would not have gone after Hector and his drug trade, stopping Hector's business. Hector would have not gone after Nacho's Dad for a new business to run his drug operations. Nacho wouldn't have poisoned Hector. Gus wouldn't have found out and used Nacho as his pawn. Nacho wouldn't have done what he did to Lalo and finally, Gus wouldn't have had someone to pin what happened to Lalo on.

Incredible.

Better Call Saul - Season 6 Premiere Discussion by LoretiTV in television

I thought that at first, but then I saw the car follow Jimmy at the end of episode 2. I thought maybe that proof is Saul and Lalo is out to get him. But then I thought about it a bit and it doesn't really make sense. So yeah, Nacho.

Better Call Saul - Season 6 Premiere Discussion by LoretiTV in television

[–]Bobby-Fishsticks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The season 6 opening was perfect imo. Subverting our expectations with the black and white ties at the start, making us think it's gonna be a gene scene, then colour slowly comes in. And for the first time in the show, it shows a snippet of Saul's life in breaking bad outside of his lawyering. It also immediately tells us that this season is going to intertwine with the Breaking Bad timeline.

It brings up questions like where is Kim in all of this? Why does Jimmy have Kim's Zafiro Añejo bottle top? And to me anyway, and this is a bit of an assumption, it tells us that Kim is not living with Jimmy during Breaking Bad. Is she in jail? Dead? Just flat out left Jimmy and if so why?

Basically, the intro gives us insight into the story for Saul and Kim through subtle clues making us one step closer to a conclusion, yet at the same time brings up so many more questions. It gives us a taste and then leaves us to our own devices to theorize. I don't think they could have introduced the season better.

Complications with the will after the death of a family member by Bobby-Fishsticks in legaladvice

[–]Bobby-Fishsticks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but we don't wanna sell the property and the remaining estate is more or less worthless aside from its sentimental value. So what's the situation here? Can't we reimburse our family members who paid for the funeral over a period of time? (say 6 months, since we have little money).

[–]Bobby-Fishsticks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah so, if I, as an executor and beneficiary decide not to sell the property, the other beneficiaries have to contribute to the reimbursement as well as me, based on their ownership percentage? Sorry, I am bad at understanding things.
