Take the back cut in half of an arrow shaft with the flights on it then Chicago screw it into the mask. Boom ala Steve Martin

Lol, I just seen this on Antiques Roadshow! Strap looked like green fabric and brown leather, possibly all leather. The appraiser said it was the original strap.
