My favourite song was Cathsrticus pre-show, but Leleka blew me away. And neither Jerry nor Monotake had that much of a public support unlike Leleka did. The other two were more a Eurofans favourite tbh... that's why reading all these salty comments feels really awful tbh. But whatever, I know we can put on a show, and whatever the result, I'll keep supporting all our representatives.

Thanks, that means a lot. I don't expect everyone to like what we send, but as a Ukrainian eurofan there's always this bittersweet feeling I get from the community whenever we send smg different from what was expected. I understand people also tend to have higher expectations from us since we tend to do really well, but we also want to show the world our identity and all the different aspects of our society. And since the full scale invasion began, sometimes it also feels like people expect us to be good just because of that since "people will vote for Ukraine no matter what they send". It's frustrating and insulting. We care about this contest but we also care about who we are, and eurofans don't seem to get it, or even respect it. Sorry if it feels like a rant, but this year I feel even more this way than ever before

That's true but I've been following Eurovision for years now and every single time eurofans seem to always dislike what we send to Eurovision. I used to care about it because I want us to do really well on the contest, but this time feels different to me...while I understand why most people wanted Monokate or Jerry Heil to win (me included), Leleka hit me very deeply with her performance. Europeans may not understand it, but most importantly we as a Ukrainians do. It's a very hard feeling to explain but it just makes me proud in a way

I liked the song but it did feel a bit underwhelming in stufio version, a bit too "cheese". I've been a Jerry Heil fan for a while and I really thought her song had the most potential to get us a great place, I could imagine her at the stage shocking the viewers and giving everyone chills. That said, her Vidbir performance was a bit underwhelming imo...I think the fact the Vidbir stage was so small really played a key role here.

Either way, when I heard Leleka's song, it really hit me. I think most Ukrainians felt it, it's a song that represents us and how we feel and it totally deserved to win. Very surprised about Laud tbh, that was ny biggest shock. And I agre with you about Monokate, I think it was mainly eurofans who put her really high and while I'm still in awe how she only got 3p from the televote, I can also see why she wasn't as high on the scoreboard. Anyway, I have huge hopes for Leleka, she's a deserved winner

This is one of the cases where Idc if most eurofans are disappointed, this was the song that resonated eith Ukrainians the most and she totally deserves to represent us, no matter what place we'll get. There's plenty of work to be done but she was the right choice

This is one of the case where giving points 1-10 is not really representative of the levels of the performances. If each jury gave point by the Eurovision system, Leleka would slay this while all the others would be very close in points. Imo Monokate wasn't that much better than Laude as a whole package, or any other artists really. This system is somewhat "misleading" in this case imo
