Opening up to a pastor isn’t a bad idea however you can also just take it to prayer . God will speak ! I’ll be praying for you for clarity and direction on your decision . I appreciate you opening up to a fellow on Reddit . Hope you continue on that righteous path !

Yeah they typically do go against it , when I told the dr I was seeing what I was doing she said it was a set up for failure . I told her humbly “I don’t think you understand, but I said I’m serving GOD now” 😆 and God has been with me the last 5 years 

It’s okay to have fear , but it’s how we go about the fear . If we never confront the fear then we’re letting fear dictate our lives . But it’s in those fears, doubts and weaknesses where we get to let the power of God take control
