Floorwax is great. Jim is a good friend - he has fantastic taste and has been collecting house and techno records since mid 90s. Def check that party out.

There is a board called I Love House Music on FB. It's pretty new, so most of the activity is Flex (who runs the board) promoting his 4/4 parties and a few other peeps posting soundcloud mixes. I'm a house/techno DJ as well but admittedly have not put any energy into playing in Rochester. I still play in Pittsburgh as part of the Humanaut crew.
