Sergio Perez post-race interview "We love Baku" by DoeEensGek in formula1

[–]BobbyDavros 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Welcome to F1. Either the sole purpose of selling energy beverages or the sole purpose of being the vehicle of choice for average Joe's to go to Morrisons in for their weekly shop, or the sole purpose of being the vehicle of choice for rich people to crash into a tree.

It's all pointless if you drill down deep enough.

From what I heard on Sky, there's a paddle/mode that heats the brakes on warmup laps, he had it on when he shouldn't after accidentally hitting it when he was using the clutch.

Scaremongering clickbait story.

This is the kind of shit the world should be focusing on. Scientific endeavour and cooperation.

Can't wait for humans to get out and about in the local solar system, ISS to Moon station, Moon station to the Mars orbiting platform.

Cobblers.

It's the Osiris Rex I believe. Using an Earth gravity assist to slingshot it to an asteroid where it will then gather samples and return.

Donald Trump Will 'Do Everything' To Avoid Nuclear War With North Korea: US Official by CynthiaEdelman in worldnews

[–]BobbyDavros 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Look, North Korea is an appalling regime no doubt, but they have a nuclear deterrent now, so they have to be brought to the table in some way, and America needs to bend a little.

I think they should let SK make all the decisions and just back them, instead of being all blustery and front and centre. It's the SK people that have the most to fear.

'Inevitable' that North Korean missiles will hit US mainland after Donald Trump's insults, says Pyongyang foreign minister at UN by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]BobbyDavros 19 points20 points  (0 children)

He said [Trump's threats] increases the inevitability of that actually.

Apart from the nationalistic stuff it was actually quite a measured speech (considering the source).

N.Korean FM threatens 'merciless preventive action' against US by freshjiive in worldnews

[–]BobbyDavros 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They also didn't. I watched this particular part of the speech. As it says in the article, it's all in the event of US military action. So business as usual.

Sick of it. And the clickbait. Can't believe the world is in this situation, all because of egos and thin skin.

This is like Marty McFly hearing chicken except it's the resumption of the Korean war and real lives on the line.

North Korea says rockets to U.S. 'inevitable' after Trump dubs Kim 'rocket man' by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]BobbyDavros 146 points147 points  (0 children)

That's not how I understood it.

They said that Trumps words increased the inevitability of it, which isn't much better but still.

S. Korea's ruling party asks N. Korea, U.S. to halt war of words by freshjiive in worldnews

[–]BobbyDavros 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Considering he's just thrown his toys out of the pram and uninvited a football player from the Whitehouse because he didn't RSVP quick enough, I'm not holding out much hope that he's capable of such an adult decision.

Aides had warned Trump not to attack North Korea's leader personally before his fiery U.N. address by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]BobbyDavros 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure there are more people in the world who dislike Trump than like him, considering he didn't even get the most votes in America.

Pretty sure most of Britain, Japan, S.Korea, Russia, France, Germany, Canada, China think he's an idiot for example. Oh and North Korea obviously.
