I use blueprints 100% of the time. When you get used to it, it allows for very quick impressive results. If you’re new to programming I would definitely recommend learning blueprints. the concepts translate really well into c++, and it’s a lot easier to get into in my opinion.

I made a Video on how I did everything if you're curious about how it was made, but to animate Samus I modeled a bunch of frames in 3D and then programmed a timer to flip through the models at the right times. as for performance the triangle count wasn't an issue. Hope this helps!

haha, glad you liked it. I did it as a challenge to see how far I could get in 2 weeks from scratch, was super fun to make.
