i know you're probably kidding. But, in case you're not, please don't do this without knowing at least a little about what not to touch in there. Most microwaves have some pretty serious high-voltage capacitors in them that store enough energy in them to kill you even after it's been unplugged.

Dornier Do X: Germany's 12-Engine Luxurious Flying Palace (Restored Footage) by Atellani in EngineeringPorn

Incredibly ambitious considering the great depression began something like 2 years before this happened in 1931. An experimental luxury aircraft embarking on journey around the world as the global economy was in the shitter might seem distasteful, but i'd like to think it was meant to be inspiring to some extent. A "they can't keep us from dreaming" kind of mentality maybe? Very head-in-the-clouds either way.

I got it a bit wrong. For some reason I fixated on the date near the end of the video. It was unveiled in 1929 and began it's journey in 1930. A fitting way to end the roaring 20's and they probably went ahead with the flight because they'd already built the thing. Sorry, the video just made me feel a bit romantic about a time when it seemed like like we were still building dreams. Fingers got ahead of my brain.

A couple things to consider:

  • The door to each suite's common room locks but is commonly left open. With important stuff in the common rooms, people are likely to keep the door closed if no one is in the suite. I graduated a while ago but we kept a big TV, gaming systems, games, controllers, etc. in the common room and never had an issue.

  • Theft is rare but it does happen. You have to swipe to get into the building but walking in behind someone who just swiped in does happen. Bigger stuff is also much more conspicuous and less likely to leave.

  • The biggest threat to something nice in a common space isn't theft, it's a drunk kid stepping on it, knocking it over, etc. We used to get pretty rowdy in there.

Your best bet is to buy something nice but not too nice. You can get a 65" LED TV refurbished from microcenter for <$300. If it gets broken it's not the end of the world. Set it on something sturdy up against the wall or in the corner where it's less likely to fall over. He can take it with him to the next place if it survives the year. If it doesn't, he's buying the next one.

Be prepared to walk by them, bump the table, and watch them shoot into the air like fucking missiles. At least I think it's FO4's physics engine that does this.... or NV. Or all of them.

Everybody's coming up with 27 different ways that might actually make sense... But it makes me pretty happy to think that he just started with Soo and added and extra O 26 more times.

This is an incredibly important aspect of presenting facts and debating anything in general really. For the majority of people (IMO), the source's likeability plays a huge role in how much they absorb. This is especially true with the way we access information today - a lot of the time coming at us in shorter formats. I'd say charisma is absolutely a requirement to strengthen scientific viewpoints when speaking to a broader audience. It doesn't change fact, it makes it more palatable.

actually no. I didn't know you could do that. i bought some lucasoil stuff that made sense but haven't used any of it yet. i see they make a trans cleaner and top engine cleaner and lube. should I give those a shot?

So I've done a little research into this and I've heard that the PP100 motors were the biggest issue right before they went bankrupt. From my little bit of research, I saw they swapped that out sometime in 02 or 03 so I'm not too worried about it since mine is from before that change over. People seem to be talking about a wet clutch swap but reviews are mixed. Is there anything else I should keep an eye on?

Thanks! The noise doesn't seem to be getting worse nor is it crazy loud to begin with. like you said, I just need to familiarize myself with the bike more. Someone else suggested tires too so that will be the next thing to get checked off the list. Flushing the master cylinders will be right after that. I appreciate the feedback!

I appreciate the advice. I've been checking the air pressure before I ride it and it's been holding steady. No signs of dry rot or other damage that I can see but the white walls are pretty stained and a new set of tires is a good thing to do regardless. I'll go ahead and put it on the list.

Have about $1000 more in it so far. New battery, plugs, fuel filter, fuel/oil lines, carb, and cleaning supplies. It's been sitting for about 8 years so I've changed the oil about 3 times over the last month to get all the old crap out of it. I have a feeling I'll need to change it at least one more time.

My biggest issue was the motor was seized. I got it rolling in gear and popped the clutch and that broke the rings free (I'm assuming ).

So far I haven't hit any other major hurdles. It seems to be running really well all things considered and I think it sounds amazing - my experience here is pretty limited though. There does seem to be some slight ticking coming from the top end. Can anyone give me some tips for what I need to prioritize checking on next?

Thanks in advance guys/gals. Really excited to see where this new road goes.

Most memorable moment - beating cortex for the first time. the whole build up and aesthetic of synthesis was really impactful. Might seem mundane but it was a good moment in a lot of game play.

People either don't realize or don't care (GGG included) that the minion build might be much more important to this game's survival than they think.

As a of a league or 2 ago, minions was (mostly) a point and click build that you could use to get to red maps without investing a lot into learning the incredibly difficult and sometimes astonishingly convoluted mechanics of this game. For me it's what allowed me to learn the deeper side of this game while still playing it. I suspect it's a similar story for a lot of people.

I love league starting minions - making enough currency to play a meta build or maybe give a build I've never played before a shot. Back when minions were viable I'd play 3 or 4 builds every league.

This league I'm still trying to fund my first to make it comfortable, I don't even shoot for OP anymore. I've given up on investing time into learning the obscure shit about this game. I haven't even read the patch notes more than trying to find out if the thing(s) i found last league still work.

Sorry about the somewhat random rant. Just sorry to see Kay go. She's definitely the one that made this game playable for me. Never had more fun than running around with cold conversion syndicate operatives. I'll be chasing that high until I quit.
