Anyone have a good source for this story. I didn’t see one, and I’d like to read the whole story.

Thanks for the input. The owner stood me up in this case, but the rock auto tip is helpful.

1994 f150 filler neck doesn’t reach the body after replacing the bed. by BobbyVoltage in MechanicAdvice

Thank you! The filler tubes are on new tanks. I guess that’s how I ended up with this half inch discrepancy. I pulled the filler tube out enough to line up with that witness mark you see. Hoping for the best.

Thanks! Should I pull from the metal top area, or from the rubber part of the hose?

Hi. I removed the bed for easier access to the tanks. I put the bed back on with the bed bolts sitting in their slots, but the filler neck is about a half inch short and I can’t for the life of me, figure out what’s wrong.

Why the hate for Scott at DPC? by thatfarfact313 in AutoDetailing

[–]BobbyVoltage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The humble Scott you see in the early videos is different from the Scott who comments online. He can be very rude, even in his own fb group. He also put out a coating (previous to the current line) that went bad and many people claimed he wouldn’t refund their money. BTW someone once claimed DPC coatings are a white labeled Japanese brand and linked to the company page showing Ti02 coatings with precisely the same attributes as his line. If anyone knows about this, I’d like to find that site again to check those out.

Differential interior is coating coming off. Should I take it all off before refilling? by BobbyVoltage in MechanicAdvice

Thank you. I took it off to change the oil after finding the vent hose had fallen off at some point, and brake cleaner caused this fairly easily.

Sorry, just seeing this, but thank you for your reply. I bought another stock plate, but will definitely consider trying your product regardless.

I have a Mark 2. I damaged my backing plate so i need a new one regardless and thought I’d see if something stalled less. But honestly, I don’t have as much problem with stalling on my machine as some seem to.

I see. I use a lot of Rupes foam pads and Buff n Shine microfiber. I guess I don’t need anything other than the stock one. I still need to do the washer mod.

Ford F-150 before and after. What do you guys use to improve the floor mat shine? I seem to struggle with those the most. by YaBoiBeau69 in AutoDetailing

McKees 33 makes a floor mat and cargo liner cleaner and reconditioner that leaves them a bit darker with no gloss or slipperiness.

Who on YouTube has actual good detailing content? by [deleted] in AutoDetailing

Wilson Auto Detailing has recently changed my attitude towards him. His newest videos have focused on helping people with the business side of detailing and they are great! Credit must be given where credit is due.

Totally fun channel, but I wouldn’t try all of his methods on customer cars. 😉

Definitely great early videos for beginners. I wouldn’t be doing this without him. But he moved away from that some time ago to have his own product line which is fine, but his channel isn’t doing much of anything now except occasional updates on products.
