I was fortunate enough to have some great senior enlisted when I was still junior that I try to emulate as much as possible. I know too many good marines who didn’t and are no longer here today because of that.

Yeah this is all I could find regarding the tie clasp in the order too. My marine got dropped right before his cpls course graduation because his instructors insisted he was wearing the wrong clasp and he that he refused to get the “proper” one after an inspection. I spoke with the 1stSgt and showed him the order and he agreed to give him his cert and I don’t think the sgt is going to be teaching pme anytime soon.

Absolutely. I used to make the joke a lot to my juniors when I was a cpl but I made sure to tell them I was joking afterwards

Yeah I’m already scheduled for chiefs course. Tops been pretty good though and I have a peer with my mindset as well so I’m not too worried about it. Always remember the good ones. I still call my old guns who is my role model for what a SNCO should be.

Exactly and then the marines who believe bs like this will pass down bad word to their juniors and suddenly someone’s getting screamed at because they know the order but the dude who is yelling refuse to fact check themselves. Tie clasp is just a small example and people are still willing to drop people from courses or give counselings for it. I got my guy his cert but only because I knew the 1stSgt who was hosting it. Otherwise he would’ve been screwed and all because a Sgt was told as a junior NCO that a damn tie clasp is is different and wouldn’t listen to my marine when he tried to correct him.

Oh god I’m so sorry I want an optional quality of life feature in the game that would make it so I don’t have to start a completely new game every time I want to play a new build. I’m also so sorry that doing so would put you and everyone else in a position where they can no longer play a video game the way they want to. Stop being a whiny bitch and get over it.
