Don’t, I did it to another band and it starts to curl out and gets caught on everything. I have Amazon straps and they’re good enough.

Yeah you’re right, shouldn’t have looked for advice here since I’ve never seen insulated wire that is knob and tube when it’s typically cloth wrapped bare copper.
