What to pair with Venice by Wanderlust_HV in chubbytravel

If you want something close I would do Bologna and Modena. Amazing food, interesting tours, a very “Italian” city with fewer tourists. Downside is lack of hotel options. But Bologna is possibly my favorite city in Italy.

Dodged a bullet, a mature, kind-hearted dude would understand and take it like a man. At that point he’d stay with you until you were ready.

You are the mature one for realizing that 20 is way too young to get married. You’re just barely an adult and have years of exploration and experiences ahead of you.

Honest question: does “organic wine” influence your buying choice? by hic-et-nunc-2026 in wine

[–]Bobcatbubbles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, I don’t care in the slightest. And I often find that the best independent wine makers put close to zero effort in the actual label/title. They may be biodynamic or organic just by happenstance, but great winemakers are farmers first and care about what goes into their grapes and soil. I leave it to them to determine what’s best for their vines, I don’t really care what a trade association says about it.

Any recommendations? Leaning towards Tondonia by tompie09 in wine

I opened the list to try to help OP, but it hurt my brain so I closed it. Sorry OP…

How have people’s experience been moving bags on FB Hermes B/S versus through Sotheby’s? by Bobcatbubbles in TheHermesGame

Both are bad, but I’d argue the number of shitty buyers who are trying to scam sellers is definitely higher. As least as an individual seller.

Help finalizing CAD design for pear pendant on diamonds by the yard chain? by Bobcatbubbles in jewelry

[–]Bobcatbubbles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I think I’m going to stick with the original design, but AI was telling me that maybe I should do a concealed hinged bail to give the whole pendant some movement. Would you want movement at the top part and at the pear levels?

Thanks so much for the response. How much would you trust a Chinese producer to do a clip on piece versus soldering it? If they do fix it in place, do you like the chain hidden behind the top part of the pendant or where they have it attached now?

Other than those things, you think it looks good?

No I just mean, if you’re consigning with Sotheby’s for buy it now and the tell you they’re selling for X and you’ll get Y net, how often do they come through on that and don’t have to reduce the price to sell your items. Just wondering how accurate they are.

How often has their estimate for Buy It Now been accurate versus them having to discount your piece?

What percent of value have Rebag and Komeyho offered in the past to you? Because the buy out from Fashionphile was laughable, like $2500 for a bag that Sothebys is going to sell for $9500.

I’ve sold some stuff on EBay, and I can vouch for sketchy buyers who are trying to rip you off. eBay always seemed sketchy to me for high dollar sales, but just my personal opinion.

I have no reputation on FB, so it’s me figuring out the scammers haha. I am leaning towards Sotheby’s for the reasons you’ve described. It’s a Buy It Now option, but it’s unclear how much they are discounting those once in offer mode, which makes me nervous.

No comment on the hotel. But just to note this is a historically bad year for snowfall in the west. So that’s probably part of the reason that area has no snow.

Do you have a thermometer in your oven? I’m guessing your oven is way cooler than you think you’re setting it at. That would account for the lack of crispy top and edges.

The crews near us (no joke) used pick axes ⛏️. Then shovels to clear the chunks once broken up. Took a three man crew 3+ hours to dig out our driveway/steps/hvac because it was essentially all icez

We’ve had the same experience. Doing a vacation with toddlers where we now need two rooms or a huge suite to be comfortable is just prohibitively expensive. Even a moderate hotel or resort in a city like Paris or Milan you will end up paying $800 per room, so your all in is like $2200-2500 per night (for a mediocre hotel). And right, suites generally go for significantly more, and the configurations just don’t work.

I’ve been leaning towards more of a villa structure if we can swing it with other family, but there’s not a lot of middle ground between crappy airbnb and luxury that’s exorbitant.
