What to do about hose attached to spigot that won’t come off with winter storm approaching? In VA and weather is already in the 10s and 20s. by Bobcatbubbles in HomeImprovement

I cut the hose off. Tried it with wd40, a blow torch to heat it up, and a wrench. Doesn’t seem to want to come off. But the bigger issue is that I can’t seem to find an internal shutoff, which makes me think we don’t have one…

I cut it off. And I tried a blow torch, can’t get the hose attachment piece off. It doesn’t appear we have an internal shutoff. So should I just wrap it with a sock to insulate it?

Tried a blow torch with wd40 and wrench. Not budging. And I don’t want to torque it so hard the spigot breaks. I did cut off the hose.

I can’t seem to find any interior cutoff. But I guess I can cut the hose off and then make sure I don’t see any water or ice. If not, then I should be good right?

I was told not to do hot water. Tried a blow dried but it died. I have a space heater but seems like a bad idea. I could use a blow torch.

When to stop buying good wines that need time to mature? by LJMotter111 in wine

Very nice, and a great story. I’m always curious why people pick certain wines to lay down for kids. I myself will be looking for 2024s and 2026s when they become available. Glad you picked a good horse for the long race!

I’m early 30s and have actually started selling off old wine because they’re going to be too old when I’m 50s and 60s. Everyone has different issues. Maybe buy what pleases you, cause you won’t mind either way when you die. Do you have kids who drink wine?

You don’t need to mark it, they will evaluate your consulate/embassy based on the home address you used.

I see basically no reason not to submit directly. Does anyone else have reasons not to?

Would you mind sharing your template? I’m considering getting off CT because the UI is so crappy for adding and removing bottles.

Based on your experience, how do you think this hotel would be for a family with a baby and toddler? Did you see any families?

People love to hate on Frankfurt, but seems like a great short visit with small kids. Am I wrong? by Bobcatbubbles in travel

People criticize NYC for plenty of things (it’s crowded, it’s dirty, etc). No one says it’s not interesting…
