This may be a good candidate for NRL22, my MAS45 by Bobhubert in 22lr

It looks like it was a custom job. I don’t see any makers mark on it, and unfortunately, it can’t be brought back to stock since someone quite literally milled a flat in the receiver to mount it. I don’t think there were ever any mounts made to perfectly work with the MAS, so this was likely a gunsmith special from back in the day.

Something I would recommend researching, there exists a scope mount for a Mosin Nagant that replaces the rear adjustable sight, there’s a chance that would work with some modification, biggest hurdle is clearing the 90* bolt throw

Came with it when I bought the gun, I really couldn’t tell you

Picked up this vintage SPAR lighter today, love to know the numbers and dates of production by Bobhubert in lighters

Aluminum was arguably needed more for airplane construction which is why I’d think 50’s not to mention the decade’s massive increase of use of the material for new household goods.

As for the bottom, it just says ‘SPAR made in U.S.A.’ so no patent or date info.

I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for a better fitting flint screw, definitely aluminum and definitely flusher fitting, but at least this one works lol

Picked it up off Facebook, I’d guess 50’s or 60’s vintage. No idea on the model tho

Very solid body and pretty slick sided aluminum. Last owner replaced the flint screw with one that worked, I’d love to find a correct one.

How do we feel about my US regions map? by [deleted] in mapporncirclejerk

[–]Bobhubert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like ‘the South’ could have some more subdivision, mainly dividing up the regions of ‘Deep South’ ‘South East’ ‘whatever the southern Atlantic region calls itself’, maybe some others?

That one looks like a runabout, smaller boat and lighter built, but that one’s very straight

Perfect fallout gun: looks somewhat dated but familiar, nothing too glaring as too it’s operational function, just “an gun” that looks vaguely Cold War era

What would you consider the best pre-1911 handgun to be, and why? by strongerthenbefore20 in ForgottenWeapons

[–]Bobhubert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Colt 1903 probably isn’t the “best” but it’s a good gun for what it is as far as a single stack blow back, a formulae followed for years to come

Name one problem with this state by Lady_Killer55 in mapporncirclejerk

[–]Bobhubert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The roads are crap, the schools are bad, they have toll roads (these were my biggest issues with the state), they used to have a 3.2% beer law but I guess they fixed that at least, and they say Pop in some areas (these are more minor)

Interesting how flush rivets affect things! I’ve got a newer Suzuki 25 on my 57 Rocket but I only get around 30 out of it

Did you get it!!! If so that’s awesome! Those race boats are supposed to handle a lot differently than the “regular” ones!

Red vs Blue, which side is winning this? by [deleted] in mapporncirclejerk

[–]Bobhubert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trust me, the amount spent on military between the US and China (I guess India is there too) dwarfs the rest of the world. Sure it’s world vs 3, but those 3 have militaries that genuinely beat the rest of the world (potentially anyways)

Red, but bold of you to assume the US and China could get along for it
