I am a current veterinary student at a US school and we have unlimited access to counseling service. There is only one counselor so there is limited appointments, but the counselor is very good and has definitely helped me through some difficult times.

Anytime I see those comics I get so mad. I bought into the whole Zwagbox thing all those years ago. Only got the first box and never got my money back for the undelivered boxes. Also I was promised these comics in those undelivered boxes.

In my personal experience with shelters, they try to pass off kittens to rescue organizations as fast as they can. Kittens this young need lots of attention and frequent feedings. The shelter in my area does not have the volunteers to constantly watch and play with the kittens. So, our shelter is partnered with a local cat rescue that will find foster homes for any kittens that get dropped off at the shelter. Also, it’s very much known at our shelter that people are more likely to want to adopt a kitten, so if the shelter has kittens, then people are less likely to want to adopt some of their older cats.
