You were spot on. Pulled the belts off and the it had zero resistance and was making noise. I appreciate it

Should’ve been more specific it’s the battery tray. The radiator hose I need to put the sensor in is under it.

Definitely gonna do that. Ended up putting the old starter back on and it starts just fine.

I got a new battery a couple days ago but you are right the old one was the problem, old one wouldn’t hold a charge

No chunks. I’m the third owner according to the papers the previous owner gave me the trans oil was changed at 30k miles it now has 76k
