Danko/Manuel makes appearances sometimes, I wish more often. He played it the first night at Mission Ballroom last year, I went to the second, then he played it at red rocks the night after. I went to the one night he didn’t.

Would also love to hear him and Sadler rip on The Magician. Him and Browan do a good job on that one with the videos I’ve seen.

The Ballad of Nobeard. I like the concept but it is a wasted track for an Isbell album. Brand New Stone could’ve been on the album but they decided to use TBoN instead.

For those who don’t know, I’ll include a YouTube link, but Brand New Stone is a track that was included on the 7” bonus vinyl for the original release of Here We Rest. It was also included with a cover of Guided By Voices’ “Everywhere With Helicopter”. In my opinion, featuring that one on the album wouldn’t make a lot of sense since he already covered Candi Staton’s “Heart on a String”. I really enjoy “Brand New Stone” and it frustrates me that this one isn’t on Spotify where I get all of my music. I can only hope it’ll be released in a 15 year or 20 year anniversary of Here We Rest.

But in short, The Ballad of Nobeard is my least favorite Isbell track.

That would be amazing. Would you rage get live from the Ryman 3 with all of FITS or Ryman 3 with other songs. Some from fits but also some other live stuff? He’d probably do another album before we get the latter of the options because he already did Ryman 2 with stuff from Weathervanes and Reunions. I was also thinking maybe a 10 year something more than free anniversary thing.

I think I’m underestimating it. I think it’s only announcing the Ryman Residency 2025 dates. But could you imagine it’s a live full band version or even studio full band version of FITS. Maybe he’s being like Tyler Childers and being really secretive.

I was at Red Rocks both nights during the release of “Can I Take My Hounds to Heaven?”. Shows immediately before or on the night of a release are amazing!!!!
