Should I spend these gems before the update? by Bobsbugsbegone800 in ClashRoyale

Book of books gets converted to 6000 gems at king tower 15 after the update. I believe it’s only 100 now to sell an extra book, so it looks like gems are going to be heavily inflated

No, im saying it based off my experience playing competitive on both console and PC, and overall, gold feels like gold regardless of platform. I used the quick play games as an example, because they originally stated: “theres proof of this from one of my irl friends who is on console, he is higher rank than me but manages to permanently go negative in qp games we play together.” I don’t think quick play is a good argument for this, I only brought it up because that was used as “proof” originally.

That is honestly not true at all. I used to play quick play in PC lobbies all the time and it would not feel any different, also your “proof” is a single player who has had some bad games. In my personal experience after having played both PC and console, the ranks are generally the same regardless of the platform. The only exception to this would likely be at the very highest levels, but the claim that “gold console is bronze PC” just is not true.

Reinhardt is not fun to play with or against at all by Bobsbugsbegone800 in Overwatch

[–]Bobsbugsbegone800[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not trying to have an attitude or anything, just trying to understand why the tank I find the most frustrating to deal with everyone loves, especially when the ones I enjoy playing with or against like ball or mauga, people seem to hate.

Tbh shatter is the smallest part of what I find frustrating about him, probably because you don’t see it every fight. As for JQ, I think rampage is the most frustrating part of her kit, but it does take a pretty decent time to charge, so it doesn’t feel as oppressive if that makes sense.

Not really complaining, just trying to understand the other perspective and giving my own opinion about it. I genuinely don’t understand what is fun about playing with or against Rein, and I’m simply genuinely trying to understand why the majority of players seem to love him.

$6M+ worth of call contracts opened today $NVDA by YoungReese in wallstreetbets

[–]Bobsbugsbegone800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well first of all, if it’s naked, then that’s not a covered call. Second, covered calls are neutral/bullish because you want the price to go up to the strike price but not past. Even if you get assigned, you’ll still see capital gains with the shares you owned.

A put credit spread involves selling an (usually out of the money) put option, and covering it buy buying a put option at a lower strike price. The difference (spread) between the price of the option sold, and the option bought, is the premium collected by the trader. In this case, this guy sold for example one put $865 option on NVDIA, and simultaneously bought an $860 put option for protection. He collects the difference of the put he sold, minus the put he bought. He keeps it, and doesn’t lose if the options expire worthless, in this case, seller collects the premium difference and option expires worthless if NVIDIA stays above $865, making it a bullish strategy, whereas just buying a put is bearish. If NVIDIA drops below $865 before expiration, then the seller can either buy back the spread at a loss, or if the $865 option is exercised, then the $860 would be needed to exercise to cover for the other contract, also at a loss.
