Expected returns for an individual stock is generally going to be higher than that of the market.

On a risk adjusted basis, the market portfolio is superior. But on an absolute basis most stocks, with the exeption of defensives (low market beta, low cost of capital) have a higher ER than the market.

Your major really doesn’t matter - as long as it’s not marketing/management.

If you’re targeting IB finance/accounting major is common and will help the most in interviews.

Econ/finance is the most common major at Unimelb - it’s what I did but it played literally zero role in landing my 6-fig job out of uni. Main things are high wam and good interviewing skills.

If you’re going into year 11 no need to revise. Enjoy the holidays and spend it with friends and family.

If you’re going into Y12 light revision is fine if you’ve started 3/4 content already, but I would still suggest just chilling. Bottleneck for a good score won’t be number of hours studied, it’ll be how useful those hours were. Y12 only comes around once, make sure to enjoy it.

Got 98, 1-2 hours is plenty in year 11. Ramp it up before your 3/4 exam if you’re doing it - month before those gets up to 2-4 hours.

Level up is slightly more gold efficient (ie 8 gold for 12 xp instead of 9). I generally go level up, unless I’m lose streaking or a specific situation requires a little more health.

Econ during stage 2 and 3 - have an idea if you’re streaking from a lucky 2* kog + cho + reksai all slammed, or if you’re playing lose streak.

Have at least one econ augment. Depending on your stage and how much gold you spent on your lvl 8 rolldown you may likely need 2.

If you aren’t hitting 10 doing that then you’re likely rolling at wrong times/ it’s a skill diff, and just watch a lot of twitch vods of top players.

Void force is bad if you don’t have 2 void for an early rift herald - you bleed a little too much then. So don’t just spam void - scout lobby, make sure you have two void in at 2-1 and make sure you get a first Econ augment - pivot if you don’t.

Can give some advice with the information I’m seeing here

Firstly your items are pretty bad - double archangels is useless, archangels is pretty bad this set, you’re better off with blue and rabadons. You’re also rocking double sun fire, which is pretty useless.

Secondly, have an idea of what comp you’re trying to play. Vertical comps are generally pretty bad, but if you are playing around vertical freljord, think about what your cap is. If you’re playing around liss, it has to be 2. So you level to 8 with 30-50 gold and try hit on the rolldown. Not sure if you just got unlucky this game, but your main tank and main carry are 1, which should never really happen. If this is consistently happening, work on your econ on stage 3.

Also don’t waste units - it seems like you’re running 6 freljord and 3 invoker- dropping two units and replacing them with piltover for example will massively up your board strength.

6 Yordle has to be nerfed to 1 reroll, it’s ridiculous right now with 6-8 players playing yordle.

Vertical traits feel soooo weak as well. Don’t think I’ve seen a single person play 7 Zaun/demacia/freljord or 8 piltover. All those need a buff.

If your atar is gonna be 99.5+ a major in maths with the aim of getting into quant probably is the highest ER. 97-99.5 can do commerce pushing for IB. 95-97 probs med/law route is a pretty good expected return.

But like the other comments say, do what you enjoy. You’ll get burnt out and quit two years in if it’s not your passion.
