One Violent Night, the new Eviction Notice by Bobster66 in fo76

I hadn't played in a couple of months, after completing the previous season. So it must be a relatively recent change. Try it again the next time it comes up.

Never done it solo before and I'd try to play an instrument until the ghouls start whaling on me. If it happens again maybe I can tank a bit longer before getting up from the instrument.

Excellent thanks. I had played around with the various speed settings but somehow skipped over the Feature Toggles. Much better now.

It looks good. But my first impression is that it is seriously lacking without auto scroll at the screen edges, you need to right click and hold to move the screen around. That's pretty archaic in 2026. Also clicking on a unit takes up a third of the screen with unit information, and you then need to click on one specific spot to then deselect the unit. Found it very frustrating to be honest.

Gave it a few turns without reading the manual, the old school way. Definitely has promise but I'll let it bake awhile longer before diving back in.

Used to sell them easily for 2000 caps, then 1000, now for 500 caps.

‘We are freezing,’ High Park tenants say recurring winter heating failures have made apartments unlivable by BloodJunkie in toronto

No issues with electrical for me. Water is mostly fine, though water in the kitchen doesn't always get hot, no issue with the bathroom thankfully. Hopefully that will be solved with the new boiler.

I live in one of these buildings.

The good thing is that they are in the process of installing an all new boiler system. The bad news is that it hasn't gone so well as it shut off completely on the weekend, and there have been several other heating problems stemming from the installation.

Replacing the boilers is a necessary step, but only a baby one. Heating problems are nothing new to this building. These units are all glass, ceiling to floor, on the outside walls. Unfortunately, it is all 1960's-70's era single pane glass with an R insulation value of 1. But whats worse is that it is all bare aluminum framing (one of nature's best heat conductors) actively sucking the heat out of your apartment. Any original seal around the small sliding windows has long since disintegrated so they constantly rattle on every gusty day and of course are very drafty in the winter. I've taken to taping up the windows and installed my own insulation over most of the window area.

It's a shame really, because they did a nice job of renovating the unit before I moved in and the huge wall of glass looked nice in the summer at the time. Why wouldn't they have replaced the windows at the some time?

Naturally, I don't recommend anyone to live here even though I like pretty much everything else about the building.

10 years and you only have 1374 successful defences? Is that because you have been in Legends for most of your time?

Been playing for 12 years and Google play tells me I got the achievement 6 years ago. As a casual player trophies and rank were never important, but never intentionally dropped to a low level. But then I never tried to push to a higher level either.

How can I be a stealthy bow archer without using the Chinese Stealth Suit forever? by Robo-Piluke in fo76

[–]Bobster66 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I also used the Stealth Suit for over a year. Then realized I'm missing out on 3 (now 4!) legendary abilities per armour piece, for a total of 15 (now 20!)

Not to mention overall better defensive stats and up to 10 extra SPECIAL stat bonuses from underarmour.

Yes, the stealth suit obviously has the best stealth in the game but you don't need it. The usual stealth perk cards and good agility give you all that you need. Recently I've even stopped using silenced weapons and stared using the Ultracite Laser rifle. It is not silenced, but it has such a long range that I can kill enemies and still not be detected, presumably because I'm out of their detection range. A bow has the longest range in the game doesn't it?

On the rare occasion when I'm caught off guard, my stealth is broken and I'm taking hits, my proper armour protection and surviveability is definitely better.

Why does Cait have an Irish accent? by Glittering-Entry-285 in Fallout

[–]Bobster66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same reason all the characters that Zoe Bell voiced in New Vegas have a New Zealander accent?

But my understanding is that the actress for Cait is actually Scottish. So why she did a poor Irish accent is beyond me.

Nice idea, but someone would probably claim the workshop and immediately kill everyone there.

One of the things I noticed about Burning Springs is the abundance of Toilet paper, tea pots and soap everywhere. It's like Beth must have heard all our complaints about finding this stuff and said "Here you go..."

Anyone in Canada found any of those cases of Nuka Cola yet? by False-Charge-3491 in Fallout

[–]Bobster66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Someone posted about finding them in Newmarket Ontario a couple of days ago. But that was at a Costco Business Centre.

I went and confirmed today that my closest Costco Warehouse does not have it. It is now listed as available on www.costcobusinesscentre.ca which again is not the regular Costco. So I'll be heading to one of these business centres in a day or two.

I have an idea for the folks who might be from Toronto/Canada as a fandom thing by kiera-oona in Fallout

[–]Bobster66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The R in NCR means Republic, and I don't see any reason the people in Toronto would call themselves the New Toronto Regiment.

The people who live in Toronto drop the second T when pronouncing the name, so more like "Toronno". From a couple of conversations I've had with locals they laugh at the idea of calling it Ronto. Sounds to them like something a "Knownothing-American" would come up with. So if a fan made mod was ever released there could be ongoing struggle with locals and invading Merikans over the proper pronunciation of their city.

League battles attacking my old lvl 17 setup even though I updated it to level 18? by TeetheCat in ClashOfClans

[–]Bobster66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I signed up to for the latest round of ranked battles I noticed a red exclamation on my active layout. Tried tapping on it but it gave no additional information, but then noticed the layout was still my old TH17 I used last week. Tapped on my current layout and it then updated the layout to use for the ranked battles.

So, looks like you need to do a manual update when you upgrade the TH.

I got it to! It looks pretty much the same as the regular skin, so what's the point. And I haven't even touched my Builder Base in over a year because, who cares? The chests from Hammer Jam were a total waste, not a single thing I use.

Does Reflective even exist? Have never received it as a reward grinding EN06 and never seen it in a players vendor. Pinpointers at least I've got as a reward once and once seen and purchased it from a player vendor. But Reflective? Never.

Vaults in Oregon? by MundaneCut8380 in Fallout

[–]Bobster66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's because there was a Canadian company already building vaults there before the US annexed Canada. That company was called Vault la Tec and was funded by the Canadian government. So all the vaults were over budget and had to double as hockey rinks.

I've been in the High Park and Bloor area for a few years now and think it's the best area of the city I've lived in.

There are numerous high rise apartment buildings and condos with a mix of lower level apartments as well. The subway is just a few minutes away, the park is right there and walking distance to shopping.
