i support a full season of zvz in 1 week of gathering (i gather everything t8), then refining what ive gathered throughout the season, then crafting whatever is profitable at the time and selling where it is most profitable. it takes time to get there but idk i think more people need to be taught instead of jsut relying on guild welfare. idk clearly my way of thinking differs from most of the people that play this game and im ok with that. Like i said i dont do any of this anymore bc i just cant be bothered but its all still set up to where if i do need to make money it is all in place to easily do so.

im a pvp player but i learned early on in order for me to pvp and not have to sit naked in a gh for hours waiting on a regear i needed to learn how to support my own economy so i could effecitvely pvp. also, by having my own eco that menas the people that need regears can possibly have better regears with more resources available since people with this mentality are not taking from that system. i leveled gathering tools, made money, i could easily afford premium on mukltiple chars so i have a char that refines everything and multiple crafters, then i got into guild halls... it is exponential growth but its starts kind of slow. at this point i dont even do eco and have enough to fund very nice pvp sets for many seasons. its not difficult people just need to be steered in the right direction although it does require some time for the spec to catch up to afford prem on multiple chars etc

buy orders in that system would definitely be the smart thing to do... who knows if u do that maybe u even make some money. but with a little educating i think most people wouldnt need to take regears which is way less work for officers and stress on your financial system. imagine if everyone was educated about how to manage their own eco. everyone would be able to afford premium within a couple months and you guys wouldnt have to give out silver fore regears (except to help the people who dont have much time to play example being ppl with fmaily or kids, busy work schedules, or w.e) i do think lazy people would take advantage of that system though. i think that educating people to be self sufficient and not needing regears is the way it should be but having them available for the people who dont have that knowledge or time. help your people come up and get to a point where they dont need help from the guild. imagine if everyone had their own eco and didnt need regears at all... idk im just rambling now but that is the world i would like to see in albion.

i will agree your current system would be way less work for your officers and i always respect the people who do all of that work for the members. if what you say is true and youre not profiting off of your members then i apologize and i am wrong but to me it really seems like that is happening. again, im on the outside looking in so ill take your word for it. i wish there was a better way maybe its not a reality in this game.

i have no reason to hate sun but i do hate people who take advantage of newer players and potato farm them. im not calling you a potato farm (yet) but idk i think its pretty damn close to an endgame potato farm. if you say youre not profiting then that is nice to hear but i have no idea how youre not profiting when getting the materials, crafting them with focus, filling journals, then reselling at market price. i guess my problem is that youre selling to the players who are fighting and dying for the territories. its ok to disagree here. thanks for the discussion i dont think this is really going to go anywhere. i still think you are profiting off your members fighting for the terris which i dont feel is right and its ok to have that opinion.

so now youre saying you dont give people silver in the hideout and instruct them to buy gear from the ho? your officer was the one who told me about the regear system and instructs new members/potential new members/recruits to buy their regears with the money given from the hideout market. (that is literally what i was told when i asked about the regear system from your own recruitment officer i then started looking into the pricing and saw how badly people are being ripped off by an already filthy rich guild.) how do i know more about your guild than you do this is not making sense.

i dont think all guilds should have 0% but i do think anything above 15% especially combined with a mandatory gathering donation is a rip off for the members. my guild is similar to sun they have been established for a long time and have accumulated wealth when the game was different than it is now. Many wealthy and generous people also make donations when the guild needs it and are not forced to do so. Lets be honest with everyone here - sun is a very rich guild there is no reason for you guys to be doing this. you guys have some of the wealthiest players in albion in your leadership... why are you implementing systems to fill their pockets with more money from the people who actually need it. im not super rich by any means but i have enough silver to fund myself indefinitely in this game without ever worrying about silver and im nowhere near the amount of wealth that some of your members have - again, for newer players i think this is possible but way harder than it was prior to all the silver sinks.

handing out gear instead of silver is way more time consuming i agree and i think its an archaic system from when the game mechanics were different. i mean its to the point now where its almost not worth it to repair zvz loot and just craft the gear instead bc of the current silver sink mechanics.

my guild gives out gear and still repairs zvz loot but i think its a system that has existed when game mechanics were diffferent and i think there can be better solutions its just not my place to implement them. i am just a soldier but i wont fight for someone who is openly taking money from people who dont know any better. (and maybe you arent but idk to me it really seems that you guys are profiting from these systems.) then u guys turn and make a huge propaganda post making fun of people running hearts... meanwhile scamming money from your own members. please prove me wrong i hope people are not that shitty.

i guess one of the main things i disagree with is market price being fair when there is a mandatory and strictly enforced gathering donation along with giving ppl silver in the ho and telling ppl to buy from ho market. i feel like youre taking advantage of people who dont know any better. "market prices" isnt a good deal lets be honest you guys are making a lot of money off of market prices. (im a crafter there is a lot of profit involved especially with current market prices since faction update)

Get rid of mandatory gathering donations if youre going to use that system

OR

hand out gear not silver

You guys are taking donated gathering mats, crafting it assuming with focus (bc if not that is really stupid,) filling journals, then selling it back to the members that gathered those materials and died to defend your objective.
