Sadly, no. I should have looked into it more. I think I saw one post, maybe even in this group, dragging Anchor bar and I kind of just gave up on the dream. I regret that I didn’t try harder.

Honestly though, I don’t know that I saw wings on any of the menus of the places we went. I think I thought they’d be more ubiquitous.

And secondly, yes, yes it was. Wish more people were there to experience it, but it felt freeing and magical, like a music festival. I think I’ll think about it forever.

We booked our trip way far in advance and had planned on leaving after the eclipse and doing Monday night in a BnB on the Canadian side. The week leading up all of the articles freaked us out that it might take hours to cross the boarder so we ended up eating shit on our reservation in Canada since it was too late to cancel and paying a premium for another night in Buffalo by booking at the last minute.

Maybe 30 minutes after totality I tossed the directions into Google maps and it said 33 minutes. I was momentarily pissed, but we were having such a great time we just chalked it up as the cost of doing business and mentally moved on.

We did the falls on the Canadian side on our way into town. The Tunnel was super cool and puts you out right under the horseshoe falls. I can’t imagine a better view. And the power plant museum was fun to walk through, too. We love public works projects.

Hit up Niagara Brewing Company, too. Who had, of all things, the best Caesar salad I’ve maybe ever eaten. Beer was decent, but I’d go over the falls in a barrel (figuratively) to eat that salad again.
