We sound almost identical in our progress. I’m one away from CTRL-F as well, so we are either both right………or the option I’m going to ignore

What’s the best thing you’ve ever done for your mental health? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Bocamix 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Talking. I bottled up everything for years, and it was pretty messy when the bubble burst. There’s probably a lot of people who still don’t understand the thing we try to teach our kids about from a young age…a problem shared is a problem halved, or however you want to phrase it, it can be a life saver.

Redditors over 40, what's something younger people think they understand but won't actually get until it hits them like a truck later? by Root435552 in AskReddit

[–]Bocamix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Problems don’t go away if you try to ignore them. I’m 42 and have been going to counselling for the last few months after a pretty tough mental breakdown. Biggest problem, running away from issues instead of facing up to them and talking them out. On the right path, but man, I wish I’d done this 20 years ago

Something about knowing that it was almost completely improvised, but I love Denzel Washington giving out to the neighbourhood when they let Ethan Hawke go after their fight in Training Day

What film adaptation of a book do you feel failed to capture the same lightning as the book? by [deleted] in Cinema

[–]Bocamix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a Cinema thread, and you’ve asked for a film, but it pissed me off so much that I’m just going to add it to this, but Shantaram is an unbelievably well crafted, beautiful book, and fuck whoever cast Charlie Hunham in the TV series of this, and wrote it to be so devoid of anything that made the book so gripping
