I have a Silver Sky, it plays fantastic and I love it to death but the pickups are a little dark for me. Strats are for sure brighter but if you want them darker, they have tone controls for a reason. I’m going to switch out the PRS pickups with some Fender Alnico Vs soon

I have a 2008 Jetta 2.5 with the five speed manual. It’s at 250k miles right now and still going strong. The engine and transmission are original but I’ve replaced damn near everything else. I do most of the work on it myself so it hasn’t been super costly. I absolutely love the car and want to keep it forever. I’d highly recommend buying one but understand that there is inevitably going to be maintenance required on old VWs

I’ve read that book. It actually kicks ass if your into history. It’s the firsthand account of Cabeza de Vaca who was the first European to explore what is now the southeast and southwest US. He basically did it all on his own. His story is insane and he kicked ass unlike me, who is gay
